"She's not feeling too good." Lei says to a concerned Jimin who had been sitting alone at the cafeteria table.

Jimin had been waiting for the duo to arrive, but had been left sitting alone for a considerable amount of time. He figured that maybe they were running late, but as more time passed by, he couldn't help but worry.

He glances up to find Lei adorning a sympathetic expression. "Y/n gets like this sometimes. When she's fine, she's fine. But on her low days, it's best to let her rest. She'll eventually reach out." Lei explains, taking a seat across from Jimin.

Her explanation does little to ease Jimin's worries, but he doesn't press the issue. He figures y/n will reach out when she's ready and since she's not responding to his text messages, he understands, painfully so, that she's not ready to talk to him.

He partially blames himself for y/n feeling under the weather. He had taken her out to meet with some of his friends for dinner. Jimin had some reservations about the ordeal, but he had made it clear to his friends that y/n was essentially a shy person and that they should ease their eclectic personalities onto her.

*Last Night...*

"Jimin, we're over here!" Tae yells, waving Jimin and y/n over to where they were sitting.

Jimin feels y/n hug closer to him, her hands holding onto his upper arm as if she were about to use him as a shield.

"Say the word and we can leave." Jimin says sincerely, sparing y/n a knowing expression.

Jimin would never fault y/n for feeling hesitant in meeting his friends.

He understands their rambunctious energy isn't something she's particularly used to. However, he also doesn't want to feel like she can't be around his friends. He doesn't want to give the impression that he's ashamed of dating her.

"I'm fine. Worst comes to worst, I'll just find a quiet corner to recharge." She replies with a determined glint flashing in her eyes.

Jimin takes a moment to survey her expression, trying to find any hints of doubt. He's met with an assuring nod from y/n before the two make their way to where his friends were seated. The place was fairly crowded, an obvious hint that this was out of y/n's comfort zone, but she had been fairly adamant with wanting to meet his friends.

Y/n had expressed earlier that week that she feels a little guilty that she takes so much of his time. Though Jimin doesn't find it to be an imposition, he understands her concern because he'd feel the same way if the roles were reversed.

"Dude, it feels like it's been forever since we last hung out." Tae comments dramatically before looking at y/n and introducing himself. "Hey, I'm Tae–Jimin's bestest friend in the entire world. You're y/n, right?"

Y/n offers a nod in response, her demeanor quiet though she forces a smile to pull across her face.

Tae raises his brows, glancing at Jimin as if silently asking what's her problem?
