"I can't believe you guys are moving." Taehyung pouts. "I demand joint custody on y/n because you can't hoard her to yourself." He jokingly continues.
Y/n giggles while leaning her head on Jungkook's shoulder. The couple were currently hosting their final dinner party with a few close friends before leaving for New York come tomorrow night. It was a final farewell since neither Jungkook or y/n knew when they'd be able to visit South Korea again.
"We won't be that far from one another, and we can still visit during the holidays if neither of us are busy." Y/n proposes, sparing Jungkook a hopeful stare.
Jungkook nods. "I know I have a few contract obligations around that time, but I'm fairly certain we can spare a day or two to visit."
Tae forces a pout on his face, the others chiming in their own ideas of visiting New York when they had the time to do so. Jungkook watches as y/n and Tae continue their back and forth banter, planning out the next time they'll all meet up again.
A sense of warm pride fills his chest, happy to see his friends so accepting towards y/n that they'll genuinely miss her. He knows he'll miss his life here, but he looks forward to what the future has in store for him and y/n once they get settled in New York.
With her efforts, y/n was able to secure an apartment before the two landed. She had diligently been on call with various realty agencies to find a place within their budget and location preference. Thankfully, with y/n being fluent in English, she was able to snag an apartment suite in Yorkville–a place that was convenient for the both of them.
"Well, if we come to visit the two of you in New York, I expect the both of you to take us on a tour of the city. I'm talking about Broadway shows, amazing food, and most of all, the historical landmarks." Namjoon chimes in.
"You would geek out on that, huh?" Seokjin teases.
Namjoon's brows pull together. "Of course. Tell me you wouldn't want to see the Statue of Liberty because if you do, you're a damn liar." Namjoon counters.
"That's because I don't want to see some oxidized copper statue." Seokjin counters, unknowingly starting a debate amongst everyone.
"It's not just an oxidized statue, you uncultured twit." Namjoon retorts.
"You can easily appreciate its so-called grandeur by looking at a damn picture." Jin snaps.
Namjoon rolls his eyes. "Let me guess, you'd rather see a place like Times Square?"
"As a matter of fact, I would." Jin sniffs, turning his head away from him.
Jungkook breathes out an amused chuckle as the two continue their banter.
Lacing her fingers with Jungkook's, y/n leans close and whispers, "I think I'm gonna miss this."
Jungkook snorts. "Well, they do make amazing free entertainment."
