Hoseok Part 7

Hoseok pulls you closer as the two of you lay face to face on his bed. It had been a week since Ava found out about your relationship with Hoseok, and the aftermath of it wasn't what you had hoped for. It all happened so quickly that you couldn't explain it properly to Ava. Between the drunk guy hitting on you to Hoseok's reaction to Ava catching you and Hoseok kissing, it was like a whiplash of events rolling into a messy snowball.

You remember the hurt expression that overcame her face as you told her how long you and Hoseok had been seeing one another. You knew from the way her face twisted into a slight frown that she felt betrayed, as if you had left her behind. You partially blame the alcohol you had that night for not being able to find the right words to say, but even if you were sober, the sheer suddenness of it all would have probably jumbled your words.

Though you take on a part of the blame, you also felt hurt by Ava's reaction. You thought since the two of you were close–practically sisters–that maybe she'd be overjoyed with you dating Hoseok. Instead, she ran away from you.

"Everything will work out." Hoseok murmurs into your hair. "Ava might be stubborn, but she'll never hold a grudge." He adds while rubbing small circles onto your back. His comfort lasts for a moment as you let his words linger in your mind.

You've known Ava for years. You know she's not petty or cruel or the type of person to hold a grudge. But you also know that she must feel some sense of hurt for being left on the outside with all of this. Your feelings on all of this felt conflicting. Her pain was understandable because you and Ava told each other everything. There were no secrets between the both of you. However, you knew from the beginning that keeping a secret like this was bound to have some repercussions. You were just foolish to think that the outcome would have been Ava jumping for joy.

How stupid. You think to yourself.

You snuggle closer to Hoseok, placing a quick kiss just under his chin. You were growing more comfortable with expressing your affection for him like this. You no longer hesitated before kissing him. In the week that followed Ava finding out, you found comfort and warmth in Hoseok's arms that you often sought out his affection–whether it was being held by him or kissing him until all thought evacuated your mind.

"Can we just stay like this forever?" You ask softly, feeling Hoseok's chest vibrate with laughter.

"We could try, but I'm pretty sure your parents would kill both of us if you skip class." He muses.

You sigh. "Who needs a degree when we can just lay here." You remark.

"Nope." Hoseok says while shifting his body to be above you. The sudden movement has your cheeks flaming up with a blush as he peers down at you. "I'm not gonna let you wallow like this." He says while leaning his head against yours.

You had thought you put the right amount of humor in your tone to lighten up the words, but Hoseok could read right through you. He smirks down at your surprised expression before placing a kiss to your lips. He doesn't deepen it, though a part of you wishes he did. When he pulls away, Hoseok checks his phone which buzzes off with a message.
