Jin felt his chest fill with warmth as he glanced over at y/n who was adorning a broad smile on her face as the two walked through the park. The place was in full bloom with cherry blossoms, the petals scattering around by the gentle breeze. They had just finished eating at the new Ramen shop and opted to take a quick walk through the park since the day was nice enough for it. Jin had been sporting smiles as of late due to y/n.

She had helped him a lot over the past couple of weeks with balancing out his stress. She's been nothing but patient and understanding as he tries to find any semblance of control over his own life.

His family was still pushing for him to marry into the Park family despite his clear protests against it. He hadn't brought up y/n to them yet, fearing they would create issues for her in order to put a wedge between Jin and y/n. The thought causes Jin's brows to pull together because he doesn't want to keep y/n a secret. She deserved so much more than being a secret, but he doesn't know what he should do. None of his friends had this kind of pressure placed on their shoulders.

"Should we pick up some dessert before heading back to your place?" She asks, breaking through Jin's thoughts.

Jin smiles down at y/n and gives her hand a reassuring squeeze before asking, "Ice cream or hotteok?"

"Hotteok please!" Y/n says in a sing-song voice before placing a quick kiss to Jin's cheek.

A blush flares across his face as y/n giggles at his flushed expression. "You're playing dirty, y/n." Jin teasingly scolds.

Y/n simply sticks her tongue out at him in response. Jin chuckles before leading the way to a food cart across the street. He pushes away any lingering negative thoughts and tries to ground his thoughts into the moment. The two end up buying a bag full of hotteok before heading back to Jin's penthouse. It was the first time y/n would be spending the night at his place which fills him with some anxiety.

Jin had paid for a cleaning service to come through his place while he was out with y/n. Not because he was a particularly messy person, but rather to reassure his nerves that things were in order. Jin was nervous. He's never shown this side of himself to y/n before, the side the reeks of wealth and privilege. He doesn't care to show off his family's wealth like other people who come from a long line of generational wealth. It always puts him off to see someone boast about such things in order to garner attention. He preferred a simpler approach to gaining friendship, one that involved meaningful conversation rather than how much you spend.

The elevator ride up to his place had Jin fidgeting with the bag of hotteok. Y/n would sneak glances at him, offering an expression that told him that he didn't need to worry.

"Maybe if you play your cards right, I'll just move in with you." She teases. Her attempt at humor helps to lift the tension from his shoulders as he breathes out a chuckle.

"Yeah, you can go from girlfriend to wife overnight." He says, causing his eyes to widen as realization of what's been said sinks into the atmosphere.

Y/n stares back at him with a blank expression before laughter bursts past her lips. Her face scrunches from laughter as she says, "If that's your way of proposing, I'm rejecting you."
