Chapter 40

MAE's POV

"Dan, what is the emergency?" agad na tanong ko when I opened the door.

I got a call from Daniel earlier at yun nga, he wanted to come to my place. He said it's urgent. Kahit na wala ako sa mood since it's Monday tomorrow ay umoo na rin ako.

You can't say NO to Daniel Ramos!

"Good evening. Nice to see you too." he replied at walang sabi sabi na pumasok sa loob.

Tsk, I can't do anything to stop him so I just closed the door and followed him inside. Agad itong sumalampak sa sofa, with his hands stretched out.

I was startled as I saw something.

"What is that? Is that blood?" I asked as I looked closely.

May parang pula sa kanang kamay niya, dugo yata. I wasn't able to verify it as he immediately rubbed it and closed his fists. Mas lumapit pa ako at hinawakan ang braso niya para makita ito.

"Oh this, it's nothing." he replied sabay tago ng kamay niya.

"It looks like you have a big cut Dan. Anong nangyari sa kamay mo? Let me see para malagyan ko ng first aid." I offered.

Tumayo na ako ng diretso at aktong pupunta sa bathroom to get the medicine kit.

"I had a minor accident but it's nothing Mae. No need to check it, hindi pa ako mamamatay." he replied.

I secretly rolled my eyes. I didn't buy his bullshit but decided to keep quiet na lang.

"Are you just gonna stand there?" he asked impatiently.

Gusto niya akong maupo sa tabi niya.

"Sorry Dan, is there a problem? I mean, why are you here?" tanong ko since wala kaming usapan that we'll meet.

Wala akong idea bakit siya pumunta sa bahay with a very short notice. That's strange.

Me and Dan have known each other for a long time. We both grew up in the United States. Our families are somewhat connected because of our businesses.

However, we became closer nung nandito na kami parehas sa Pinas. Not really close close, but more like an acquaintance.

Magaling na basketball player si Daniel even at a young age. He was an aspiring athlete and had a tremendous potential to play at the NBA but because of his erratic behavior, hindi nag prosper ang career niya sa US.

Nagkaroon siya ng issues with the authorities there when he was still a minor. I don't know what was it. He doesn't discuss it with me and I'm not interested.

Dahil sa tigas ng ulo niya kaya siya pinadala dito ng parents niya at dito na rin siya nag aral. Nabigyan uli siya ng chance to play basketball hanggang sa naging sikat na player ito.

Anyway, Daniel is just my FUBU! 

I am not in a relationship at alam niya ito.

Being single has its advantages, and of course, disadvantages. Major disadvantage is not having a partner to have sex with, if you're horny.

Daniel was there for me in those times I need company, no questions asked. We both agreed with the setup. Nothing more, nothing less. As long as our physical need for sexual release were both met, then we're good.

I like him and what he brings in the sack. It's a win-win situation between us since his secret girlfriend hasn't given it to him yet, the cherry.

Of course, I warned him na ako lang dapat ang ginagalaw niya to avoid getting sexual diseases.
