"Dad, I wish to ask your blessings if you may. I want to give Jema a ring, an engagement ring." I said.
Biglang naubo si Dad kaya pinainom ko muna.
I waited for him to say something but of course, Dad didn't reply. He just looked at me like he's thinking or contemplating kung ano ang mga sinabi ko.
Napailing ako ng lihim at tahimik na itinuloy ang pagsubo sa kanya hanggang sa tumanggi na siya. I cleaned his face after.
"Very good Dad. Pahinga ka na muna bago dumating ang therapist mo." sabi ko.
I took the food tray and was about to leave when he coughed again. Ibinaba ko agad ang dala dalang tray at pinuntahan siya. Hinagod ko ang likod niya.
"You okay Dad?" I asked.
"T-too early." he replied after a while.
"Huh?" sabi ko.
Hindi naman na siya nagsalita ulit. Nakatingin lang siya sa akin.
That's when I realized that he is answering my earlier question.
About Jema.
"B-business...." mabagal na sabi niya.
He wants me to concentrate on our business.
"Okay Dad, don't worry about the business because it's in good hands. Ako pa! Also, forget that I mentioned about Jema. I do understand, masyado pa ngang maaga. Thank you sa pakikinig po." sabi ko bago lumabas ng kuarto niya.
May panghihinayang akong naramdaman when I was outside Dad's room.
Balak ko na kasing yayain si Jema to move in with me as I am so sure with myself talaga, na siya na ang para sa akin.
I already checked for a ring online at plano ko na gamitin si Bella sa pag propose kay Jema. Yung tipong nasa collar niya yung ring, something like that.
Napadali lang ang desisyon ko because of all the bad things that happened with me and Jema that involves Daniel.
Jema needs to move out of that place as she is not safe there with her lunatic ex boyfriend around.
That's why I came up with one big solution, which is to ask her to live with me.

Naalala ko bigla ang sinabi ni Tito Jesse sa akin nung nagkausap kami. Mag hinay hinay daw kami ni Jema. Kilalanin daw muna namin ang bawat isa ng husto dahil bago pa lang kami.
Parehas sila ni Dad ng advise sa akin. Come to think of it, both of them are correct nga naman. Kahit gusto ko na ay susundin ko sila.

Focus muna ako sa business like what Dad wants. At siempre sa family ko at kay Jema.
"Good morning! O tapos ng kumain si Dad?" tanong ni Ate Joyce.
Nakita niya kasi akong nakatayo pa rin sa tapat ng pintuan ng room ni Dad.
"Ha? Oh yeah tapos na nga." sagot ko sabay lakad na pabalik ng kusina.
Nadatnan ko na si Jema doon. She is still wearing my clothes na pinahiram ko sa kanya kagabi. Kasya ất bagay sa kanya ang damit ko. Ang cute.
She's happily talking to Mom. Mukhang maganda ang topic nila. Jema is making gestures pa and my mom is keenly listening. Then nag high-five sila. Napangiti ako.
