Lukaret talaga itong si Best. May emergency daw siya yun pala ay biglang dumating si Angel from his trip abroad and surprised her. Kaya iniwan niya na si Bella sa dog center ng condo.
I'm not complaining but she could have told me earlier para naman umuwi ako agad. Excited akong pumunta sa area para makuha na si Bella.
"Hello, pwede na ba naming kunin si Bella?" I happily asked the attendant as soon as we arrived.
"Good evening ma'am. Name po ninyo?" tanong nung staff sa counter.
Huh? Bago na naman ang staff nila dito.
"Jessica Galanza, Jema for short." Ella answered for me.
The staff took some papers out and read it. Matagal bago siya sumagot sa amin.
"Based on the record here, naka out na po siya to a certain Miss Jema Galanza kanina." she replied.
Nagulat kami ni Ella sa narinig.
"What time was it?" tanong ni lablab.
"Mga 10 minutes ago po." sagot ng attendant.
Nagbibiro ba siya?
"What? Can you check again please, baka nagkamali ka lang." sabi ko as I enter the area and tried to check if Bella is there.
Kaso walang lumapit na dog sa akin. Nakatingin lang sila at nagkulumpulan sa gilid. Usually pag nandun na ako, sasalubong agad si Bella sa akin habang paikot ikot pa.
"Bella baby, come here!" I tried calling her but no one came forward.
Frustrated akong tumingin sa staff.
"Sorry ma'am but our record says that the dog named Bella is already claimed by the owner, si Miss Jema Galanza nga po." sagot ng attendant na tila walang pakialam sa concern namin.
Nag sorry nga pero yung boses naman niya parang nang iinis. Nakakapikon ah.
"Like what I said, I am Jema Galanza miss. Bakit ko naman iki-claim ang puppy namin kung nakuha ko na? Do you think I'm doing a prank?" medyo inis na tanong ko sa kanya.
The staff just shrugged. Kakagigil na talaga siya. Nahalata yata ni lablab medyo gigil na ako kaya inakbayan niya ako. Siya naman ang humarap sa attendant who still looked smug.
"Now miss, there might be a big problem unless you help us solve it. You see, we want to claim our dog but she is not here. That is definitely a big cock up on your part and you can be held responsible if we won't find our Bella. I will make sure of that. You don't wanna be involved with people who take things that doesn't belong to them, do you? I am sure you know what I mean." Ella lengthily said.
That caught her full attention.
"Y-yes m-ma'am." she immediately replied.
"Now, can you please double check your record again and see if you can give us a better response to our problem." seryosong sabi ni lablab.
"Right way ma'am. Please, take a sit while I do this." sagot nito.
She read again the paper na hawak niya before clicking away on her laptop. May mga listahan siyang iniisa-isa.
No choice kami kundi umupo habang naghihintay. Ang tagal niya ha pero tiniis na lang namin as I am thinking of Bella.
"Nasaan na kaya si Bella? I hope nothing bad happened to her." I whispered to lablab.
"Ssshhh, it's gonna be okay. We will find her." she replied.
Humilig ako sa balikat niya dahil ngayon ko naramdaman ang sobrang pagod. It's been a long day, ang daming nangyari sa araw na ito, I just wish that it ends up well.
