Tahimik na nagdadasal pa si Jema sa chapel kaya iniwan ko muna to give her solace. She is grieving like me but we deal with it differently.
We are at the Manila Pet Sanctuary, na cremate na si Bella. We are just waiting for her ashes.
Oh no!
Yes, ang bilis ng mga pangyayari. After finding Bella lifeless, I regained my composure and eventually called the MPS. They arranged the pick up from Jema's unit and scheduled her cremation at their facility.
Of course nag report muna ako sa security kahit na parang pagong kung kumilos ang mga ito. Pati na sa police din. Animal cruelty ang ginawa kay Bella and I want to make sure na magbabayad kung sino man ang mga gumawa nito sa kanya. Tandem ang mga salarin, kutob ko.
What they did to Bella is unforgivable!!!!
"Ma'am, pwede na pong kunin ang ashes ni Bella." sabi sa akin ng staff doon.
Nag thank you ako sa kanya bago binalikan si Jema.
"Love, let's go. Bella is ready now." I said.
Malungkot siyang tumango at sabay na kaming naglakad para kunin ang mga labi ni Bella.
We requested them to put Bella's ashes in an urn. Nagpagawa din kami ng pawprints on clay mold para may remembrance kami.
And just like that, Bella is gone, forever.
We rode in silence as nobody knows what to say. Sa bahay pa rin namin umuuwi si Jema. Hindi ako pumayag at sila Mom na bumalik pa siya ng condo unit niya.
We don't want her remembering Bella na nasa box tapos duguan pa. She will definitely have a nightmare there.
Pagdating namin sa bahay, diretso lang siya sa kuarto namin. Same scenario uli kami. Ilang days na din siyang ganito, 3 days since Bella have been found dead. Hinayaan ko muna siya but then I heard her muffled sobs so I checked on her.
"Hey, are you okay?" I asked kahit obvious naman na hindi.
"I'm so sorry lablab. Kundi dahil sa kapabayaan ko, buhay pa sana si Bella." she replied while trying to wipe her tears.
"Sssshhh, it's okay. Bella is in a good place now. Baka nga nakangiti yun ngayon habang nakatingin sa atin." sabi ko na pilit pinapasaya ang boses.
Mas lalo siyang umiyak.
"Love, please stop." I said as I hug her from behind.
"Bella was your special gift to me lablab eh. I should have taken care of her." sabi niya.
"You did but some people wanted to harm her. There was nothing we could have done, Love." sagot ko.
I ended up cuddling and comforting Jema kasi iyak pa rin siya ng iyak. She is still blaming herself.
Sabi ko walang may gusto sa nangyari. Kung may dapat mang sisihin, ito ay ang taong gumawa nito kay Bella.
Eventually, tumahan din siya at pumunta ng restroom to wash her face.
"Ang pangit ko palang umiyak lablab." sabi niya paglabas.
"Oo, kaya wag ka na umiyak, hindi bagay." I said.
"Tayo, bagay." she replied.
Yiiie.
Grabe naman itong si Jema, parang hindi galing sa iyak.
"Love, gusto mo ng ice cream?" tanong ko habang kinikilig pa.
"Ay lablab, sige. I want strawberry flavor." sagot niya na nakangiti na.
