We never get lost; we only continue to cling to the memories that ought to be forgotten. They contend that memories endure whereas emotions do not. If we stick to the promises that were broken right from the beginning, how can we move on? It ought to be buried six feet deep.

I smiled grimly; when I woke up, there was only one thing I needed to do, and I was certain of it. To bring justice to what happened months ago.

Dwelling on the past is not my forte right now. Canna was right, I am enough and worth it, and should not question it. It's just them who have a problem. For how many days recalculated, realizing, and convincing myself to stand up and be brave. Finally, I must say I can fight now. Even though my health is at stake, I did not think twice. Everyone needs me; someone needs my help. And that's only matters to me.

For now, isasantabi ko muna ang pag-ibig na natupok ng apoy at napunta sa walang direksiyon.

I cut my long hair into a short one and dyed it into light hush brown. Para hindi masyado agaw pansin. Iisipin talaga ng mga tao na broken hearted ako. Which is true.  Hindi ko naman maitatago ang katotohanan na nasasaktan pa rin ako ngayon.

Canna helped me anything. The interrogation stops because of her connections. Humingi pa ng tulong sa Daddy niya na makalabas na ako sa custody room. And I am really thankful kasi maitutuloy ko na lahat ng plano ko.

Naglilinis ako ng baril nang pumasok ang mga sugo ni Tenyente na pinangungunahan ni Rashid.

"Nakahanda na ang lahat mamaya sa pag-alis natin. Sigurado ka ba sa impormasyong nakuha mo do'n sa kaibigan mo?" nang-uusisang tanong ni Rashid.

"When is the time that I am not sure? Of course, I planned everything. If plans didn't work, just leave." kalmado kong tugon sa kanya.

Sumipol si Conrad sa inasta ko,"Cool. Ganda natin ngayon, ah."

Ngumiti ako sa kanya," Bagay ba? For the change, siguro. I wanna make a good impression to my juniors and our officials. Masyado na akong pangit dati." I chuckled.

"Di mo sure?" saad at halakhak ni Brennan.

"What is your plan, then?" Rashid asked.

I hummed,"To rescue Nico's mother, Captain."

His eyes squinted and his jaw protruded,"Not that, Sergeant."

I laughed,"Why so serious, Rashid? Iyon naman talaga ang plano."

"Really?"he mocked me.

Sumeryoso ako,"Leave with it, Captain. Ayokong madamay kayo sa gulo ko."

He rolled his eyes,"But Canna knows everything and I didn't know. Seriously Jem?"

I chuckled,"Selos ka? Hindi ko naman aagawin sayo si Canna."

He arches his brows instantly,"What the hell! Ano naman pakialam ko do'n sa amazonang iyon?!"

Humalakhak ulit ako,"Chill! Napaghahalataan eh. It is not the right tims to tell you everything. One day, I will be brave to do so. Basta ang importante, hindi kayo madadamay. I will make them pay. Big time!" Malamig kong sambit.

Wesley cleared his throat,"Taena! Kinilabutan ako sa boses mo. Chill lang tayo guys, ah."

Ngumiti ako sa mga tinuran ni Wesley. How could I possibly forget them? They assisted me in becoming who I am today. I have never held any resentment against them. I must safeguard them with all my strength. It may seem like a cliché, but they are the support I rely on. They are my friends as well.

Napalingon kami ng biglang lumitaw sa harapan namin ang girlfriend ni Zandro. So, she recovered that fast. Ngumiti sa kanila at sa akin. Should I smile back? Taena! Pati ngiti ko kailangan pang i-practice.

"What's up, guys? I just came here to give these personally."

She handed us a lot of papers. Rashid looks shock and even the others. I accepted it, only to find out that it is not just a paper. But a fvxking invitation card. Written her name and Zandro, on the middle part, a word that cause my lips parted- engagement party.

"I hope you can come guys, it's next week. Sinigurado ko talaga na hindi na kayo busy no'n. I already talk to Brigadier General, and he gave you a day to pamper yourselves. I hope y'all come to our special day."

Ngumiti ito ulit sa amin at nagpaalam nang umalis. My head is spinning; they are engaged that so fvxking fast? Mahigpit akong napahawak sa baril. At hindi ako makakapayag.

Rincoln Family- a family who had many skeletons on their closets.

I am just starting, next week would be their worst day- na hihilingin na lang nila na hindi ako binangga at kinalaban. Hindi ako titigil hangga't hindi natatapos ang lahat ng ito.

For now, focus muna ako sa kaligtasan ni Nay Rosa at ni Nico. I need to sure that they are safe.  Kalmado akong tumingin sa kanila. Lahat pala sila ay nakatingin sa akin. I knew already what they are thinking.

Malakas akong napa-buntong hininga,"I'm okay, a-attend ako. He needs someone who's capable of loving him. And I am not that person."

Umiling si Brennan,"You could've told him everything, Jem."

Pagak akong natawa,"For what, Brennan? Kapag ba sinabi ko lahat, babalik siya? Kilala niyo ang Boss niyo. He's blinded by his anger, and I can't blame him. Ako naman ang may kasalanan ng lahat."

Walang may sumagot sa kanila, lahat kami napatingin sa pintuan ng may biglang dumating na isang sundalo na hingal na hingal habang napakapit pa sa gilid ng pintuan.

Napakunot-noo ako, what the hell is happening?

"Kapitan, si Tenyente nang-aamok ng away."
