THE NAME 'VICTORS' is going to become very ironic by the end of today. When we end their lives and laugh while doing it, I'll have fun renaming them whatever the latin word for losers is.
That's right. According to research, their main guy didn't even know what the word victor meant. He had just put winners into google translate and found the latin translation. I'm surprised this gang has lasted as long as it has. And that they swerved the court. Truly, it shows what's really wrong with the world.
"We should so get latin food after this just for the jokes." Sasha grins, texting on her phone as we drive in a massive limo to our destination. All nine of us are here - the whole team - and in a few hours, Team Y (the blues) will be coming over to plant evidence and cover up our footsteps.
"Yeah, yeah sure - who are you texting?" I peek over at her phone.
She covers it quickly, "Why do you wanna know?"
"They're obviously important enough that you have to be texting them during work." I scoff.
She grins, flips her phone, and lets me look.
Okay. So. She wasn't texting anyone. Just scrolling through instagram (when she's meant to be on the clock might I add) and seemingly liking a lot of cat videos.
"Ah." I say.
"Gee, I didn't know you were so obsessed with me." She smirks, taking her phone back.
"I'm not."
"You so are."
I sigh and lean my head back against the wall of the limo, ignoring her. She just giggles, returning to her cats.
"Just double checking - there are twelve we need to get right?" Keagen speaks up.
"Thirteen." Odyssey. nods in confirmation.
"Every count out loud on the ear coms so we know we've got the right about." Liam reminds us, filling in his assault rifle it's ammunition, clicking it in place.
We all have different kinds of guns. And they vary.
Sasha and I both use handguns. The right choice obviously. They're easier to hold, more precise, and they have a low recoil.
Liam and Odyssey work with assault rifles. I've had this confirmation (debate) with Odyssey many times. She says the rapid fire makes kills easier to confirm.
Reign works with a silencer. And a silencer only. Always has. Even though today isn't a silent kind of mission. But whatever. The kid likes agility.
Then there's Vika with her sub machine gun. I don't ever fight her on it. She thinks it's the best. There's no point debating her. Especially when she's holding it, loaded, in her hands.
