13. 𝑲𝒊𝒔𝒔 𝒎𝒆 𝒐𝒏 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒔𝒊𝒅𝒆 𝒘𝒂𝒍𝒌.

Chapter 13~ Kiss me on the side walk.

𝙅𝙪𝙣𝙚 𝟐𝟔𝙩𝙝

Max and Arwen ran across the street through the rain with their skateboards under their arms laughing. Arwen dropped it on the floor and kicked her foot to through a puddle which went all over Max, "you are dead!" She went running towards Arwen and rugby tackled her to the floor, she was now on top of her holding her arms out on either side.

"No! There's water all over my butt!" Arwen tried to move but Max stayed there laughing, "wait Max! There's a rock under me." Arwen cried out.

"Oh my god I'm sorry!" She moved and Arwen quickly pulled her closer giving her a kiss, "Idiot." She smirked.

"Oh children!" Someone called out, they immediately recognised the voice and looked up to see Robin leaning out of her window, "care to come inside? There's an actual hurricane happening right now." The girls laughed and got up to go to Robins house.

"I didn't think we got this far down the street." Max laughed, they got to Robins door who was waiting there with towels, "thank you."

"I'm so happy for you two, have you told the party about the kiss?" Robin asked.

"No not yet we're gonna wait, we don't it to be a big deal which is impossible with the party." Max replied, there was a sudden knock at the door and five seconds later Nancy walked in.

"I am soaking!" Nancy came into the living room, "she hasn't even seen Robin yet." Arwen whispered to Max making her laugh loudly.

"Here Nancy, have my towel." Arwen handed it to her and sat under Max's towel, "Nancy. Max kissed me." Arwen said straight out of the blue, Nancys eyes widened and she turned to face Robin, "oh we're going in just like that okay." Max pursed her lips.

"Holy shit why didn't you tell me?! You owe me ten dollars." Nancy grinned at Robin, the girls looked at each other in shock.

"You had a bet on us??" They said in unison, "wait what were you betting on exactly? Because Robin knew I liked Max."

"Wait she did?" Max asked with widened eyes, Arwen just scrunched up her face realising she had turned herself in.

"Yeah she was crushing on you for ages!" Robin laughed, "Max can you lend me ten dollars since you're the reason I lost this bet, I thought Arwen was going to kiss you first and Nancy thought you would kiss Arwen first."

"Guess Max just couldn't resist anymore." Arwen smirked causing Max to shove her.

"Max?" Arwen climbed onto the bed and took Max's hands in her.

"Yeah?" She smiled.

"I need to explain something." She looked at Max who was still smiling at her, "every time we've argued recently- it's because I was confused, I didn't know how you felt or how I felt and it made me...angry, all I wanted for these eight months was to be with you. You mean everything to me and I'm sorry- I hate myself for not kissing you the night of the snowball." Arwen explained, Max's eyes were now filled with tears, "are you okay?" Arwen rubbed her thumb on the back of her hand.

"Yeah-" she sniffed, "um yeah, I just can't believe I met you. You have nothing to apologise for okay? We've both kept our feelings in, I was in denial too it took me ages to admit I was in love with you and I didn't even say it to your face." She laughed through tears, "which reminds me, I owe your something." She cupped Arwens face in her hands, "I'm in love with you Arwen, I have been since Halloween."

"Well then Max. Will you be my girlfriend?" Max nodded then leaned in for a kiss, "yes." They both smiled, "you know, I tried to tell you that I liked girls in the junk yard last year." Max laughed, "oh my god how did I miss that?"
