Chapter 49~ Flashbacks.

"Arwen why did you let me die?" She was back in the house again but this time it wasn't in the upside down, she was facing her dad who was bleeding out on the floor like the night he died, "Arwen." He choked up, "you just let me die." He started crying, making her step closer as he sobbed on the floor but something changed, the cries got louder and lower, "dad?" Arwen cried, as his voice got more distorted, he removed his hands to reveal blood pouring out from his mouth and eyes, Arwen let out a loud gasp and ran back, "come give your old dad a kiss." Jesse grinned through bloody teeth, "Arwen, you're going to make me....cry!" He shouted the last word and started charging towards her causing her to run up the stairs, "Go away!" She screamed.

Arwen ran to another door and opened it to see Dustin and Eddie stood on top of his trailer in the upside down, she looked back to see if anyone was behind before trying to run through but she couldn't go. "How are we supposed to play each of their songs?!" Eddie shouted, "play them both!" Dustin yelled back.

"Arwen!" She heard her dad shout again, she quickly closed her eyes to think.

"Hey, Max right?" Arwen asked, Max closed her locker to look her up and down. "Yeah. Are you with the stalkers?"
"Uh well- they're my best friends actually but I wouldn't class myself as a stalker, they don't mean any harm they're just socially awkward." Arwen laughed.

-

"Jump out of the window." Max suddenly said causing Arwens mouth to open in shock, "excuse you?" She stared at Max with folded arms, "oh- Jesus no not in that way, I mean have you checked the window to see if we could climb out of it?" She asked, Arwen got up and went to open the window, "sure you meant it like that." She rolled her eyes, "and yeah- It's locked too."

Her mind flicked through memories of her and Max. All the good and bad they had been through.

"Mhm, you skate?" Max pointed to Arwens skateboard, "yeah since I was about five actually."
"Me too, are there any good skate parks here?"
"Not really, I usually just skate on my road, I live on Cherry Lane."
Max's eyes widened and Arwen could have sworn a little smile even appeared on her face, "I live there too, 4819."
"I'm 4810." She smiled.
"Have you always lived there? I've been here for a week and I already can't stand it."
"Uh no actually, I moved from California when I was four."
"Oh my god really?!" She smiled, Arwen nodded her head, "looks like we now have three things in common maybe we should consider even being friends." Arwen smirked, "mhm we'll see." Max smirked back and walked off.

-

Arwen laughed from behind them and they moved out of way so Max was now staring at her, "sorry- um that was funny." Arwen pursed her lips awkwardly, "are you going to be there tonight?" Max asked, "oh- yeah." Arwen found herself looking down at Max's lips but quickly stopped herself, "then I'll be there." She smiled and walked off.

-

Max looked at Lucas, "who screams like that? You sound like a little girl." She laughed, "and you didn't even jump." Max turned to Arwen who was still laughing, "you're going to have to do better than that Mayfield, I pulled that stunt last year." Arwen smirked.

-

"What about the others?" Max asked,
"What about them?"
"Are you interested in any of them?"
