14. 𝒀𝒐𝒖 𝒄𝒂𝒏'𝒕 𝒍𝒐𝒔𝒆 𝒄𝒐𝒏𝒕𝒓𝒐𝒍.

Chapter 14~ You can't lose control.

𝙅𝙪𝙣𝙚 𝟐𝟖𝙩𝙝

"Girls, dinner!" Arwens mom, Rachel called from downstairs, she was one of the few that knew Max and Arwen were dating now.

They ran downstairs and sat at the kitchen island that had two plates of pizza and fries on, "thanks mom."

"Thank you Rachel." Arwen smiled at Max, Rachel walked back upstairs leaving the girls alone, "pineapple does not belong on pizza." Max looked disgusted at Arwen's plate, "oh yes it does." Arwen moved it towards Max trying to make her try it when she finally gave in, "I hate that it's not that bad."

"Told you!" Arwen laughed then quickly stopped to look over at the refrigerator, "what the hell." She put her slice of pizza down and stood in front of all the magnets that had fallen off, "that's weird." Max picked one of and tried to put in back on but it fell off again.

"Mom the magnets fell off the refrigerator! It wasn't me it was Max!" Arwen yelled upstairs then laughed at Max's reaction, "what! No it was not, I hate you."

"Mm no I don't think you do in-fact I think it's the complete opposite actually, what was it? You're in love with me? Not even like me, you just went straight to love." She smirked, "I'm withdrawing my statement." Arwen smirked again and pulled her in for a kiss, "okay, you're forgiven."

"What's this about the magnets honey?" Rachel came back downstairs all dressed up.

"They fell off and won't go back on." Arwen looked from the refrigerator to her mom, "where are you going all dressed up?" She smiled.

"Can you sit down Wennie?" Max laughed at the nickname earning a glare from Arwen, the girls sat back down at the counter, "I wanted to tell you, I met this guy last week his name is David and I'm going on a date with him tonight." She looked at Arwen trying to figure out how she was going to react, Max already looked worried as if she knew. The truth was, Arwens mom had no idea she had been dealing with these nightmares it's like she was still stuck at that lab watching him die over and over and everyone had moved on.

"So you can just move on that easily?" Arwen kept her head down, "not even a year and you can move on." The lights started flickering, Max turned to Arwen and placed her hand on her leg, "Arwen calm down." She whispered gently to no avail, "Arwen honey I-"

"Stop it. I don't want to hear it."  The lights flickered faster and Max could feel the ground shaking slightly, "control them Arwen." Max said but the next thing their plates were flying off the counter, Rachel quickly ducked out of the way and stood up in complete shock.

"Arwen Sawyer!" She shouted, Arwen was like a ticking time bomb now, with every emotion she felt her powers only got worse, she put her hands over her ears and let out a blood curdling scream. Rachel and Max stood there frozen, they didn't know what to do. Arwen suddenly stopped and placed her hand up to her nose feeling loads of blood, she ran up to her room not wanting to see the looks on their faces.

Max immediately ran up after her and stopped in the middle of the room, Arwen turned around and fell into her arms crying, "I want my dad back- I want him back!" She sobbed, Max began to cry seeing how much pain she was in, "I'm a monster."

"You are not a monster Arwen." Max kissed her head, "you're not a monster." She kept repeating whilst rubbing her back.

𓆝 𓆟 𓆞 𓆝 𓆟𓆝 𓆟 𓆞

After Arwen had calmed down as best as she could, Max radioed the party and told them to come over.

"I'm such an idiot." She started crying again after having to explain to the group what happened, she felt even worse relaying it but they never looked at her like she was bad.

El placed her hand on Arwens knee and looked her in the eyes, "you reacted on your emotions and that's okay, you've only had these powers for eight months. You aren't a monster. We're all here for you."

"You can't blame yourself for being upset about this, it wasn't that long ago but people move on at different times." Lucas said, Will moved to her side and rested his head on her shoulder, "I'm so sorry Wen."

"You can't lose control like that!" Mike raised his voice causing everyone to turn their heads to him, "are you serious right now?" Max stared at him, "yes! Imagine if a neighbour had seen through the window or something or if you did that in public, you can't lose control like that!"

"Back off Mike, she's already Exhausted." Max hissed, "you're out of line Mike." Will said, "stop thinking you fucking know everything Mike. You always do this, you do it with El, you did it with Will and now you're doing it with me!" Arwen shouted, "you don't understand what it's like." El scowled at Mike before storming out, "El!" He ran out after her.

Max walked out of the room to get a wash cloth and bowl then came back in and placed it on Arwen's bedside table, "here." She wiped away the blood then moved her hair out of the way, "holy shit your ears are bleeding too." Lucas gasped, "what?!" Arwen put her hands up to them and looked at Max, scared, "hey it's okay I promise." She reassured her before turning to Lucas and glaring at him, "nice going Lucas."
