54. 𝑯𝒐𝒔𝒑𝒊𝒕𝒂𝒍 𝒊𝒏𝒕𝒆𝒓𝒗𝒆𝒏𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏𝒔.

Entering a new era 😜
A little A/n, this will be an alternative season 5 because I am way too impatient to wait plus I love Arwen too much to let her go now. A few changes have been made in place so I can still write the actual season 5 story line when it comes out. (Enjoy, also please comment anything you wanna see or just in general because I love talking to you guys)

Chapter 54~ Hospital interventions.

𝗔𝗿𝘄𝗲𝗻'𝘀 𝗵𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘁 𝗻𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗽𝗽𝗲𝗱.

The four clocks never chimed, which caused more concern. Nancy managed to attack Vecna enough to throw him outside the house but his body was nowhere to be found.

"Okay we need to get her steady. Her hearts still beating but it's weak." Max and Lucas watched as doctor's rushed Arwen's gurney into a room. The rest of the group hadn't returned yet which made them more and more worried.

"You need to get your arm checked out Max." Lucas demanded. When her and Arwen fell to the ground Max landed on her arm which had gotten bruised, "no, I'm staying with her." She snapped as tears rolled down her cheeks, "I can't imagine how you must feel right now but your arm is broken, I'll stay here with Arwen until you get back okay?" Max slowly nodded her head and took one last look at Arwen before leaving the room.

Lucas watched the doctors and nurses gather around her putting oxygen tubes in, casting up her arms and legs, checking her vitals.

"Are you aware of her parents whereabouts?" A nurse turned around to Lucas, "her mom will be here." Lucas lied, biting his nails.

Once the nurse left, he hurried over to the phone and tried calling the parents again but like the last few days, there was still no reply, "shit." He huffed and slammed the phone back down.

"So I broke my arm." Max walked back into the room after being gone for over an hour and held up her cast, but Lucas was distracted by something on the tv, "Lucas? What is it?" She stepped over and looked at it.

"We have cleared Eddie Munson of all charges and have reason to believe that Jason Carver is responsible for the killings. As of last night, he is nowhere to be found after being spotted at the Victor Creel's house where seventeen year old, Arwen Sawyer sustained life threatening injuries. If anyone is aware of Jason's whereabouts please contact us immediately." Officer Powell explained in front of loads of news crews.

"Oh my god." Max let out, "what do you think actually happened to him?" She asked seeing how worried Lucas looked, "he was there." He admitted causing Max to furrow her eyebrows, "he's pretty much the reason Arwen's here right now." He started, glancing over sadly at Arwen, "when you both went into the trance, the plan was going well until...Jason came up to the attic and held a gun up to my head- he kept telling me to wake you both up and when I told him I couldn't he tried to fight me and stepped on both of your Walkmans, after uh...what happened to Arwen, he wasn't there anymore, it's like he disappeared." He explained, Max was visibly getting more and more upset, "so you couldn't play the music because he broke our Walkmans?" She asked, Lucas nodded his head and Max took a deep breath, "I hope he fucking rots in hell." She turned off the tv and went back over to Arwen's side, "I'm going to make a few phone calls in the hall." Lucas said to Max who just nodded.

"Nancy?" Lucas spoke into the phone, he heard a sigh of relief come from Nancy's end, "oh my god- thank god you're okay." Lucas started tearing up, "things aren't so good here actually...it's uh- Arwen." His voice cracked, "what happened?!" She started to panic, "she- she's in a coma...he broke both her arms, her leg- her heart...it's really weak-" he managed to let out before bursting into tears aswell as Nancy on the other line, "okay- w- we're heading there now okay? We just- Eddie's hurt and we don't know what to do...we can't just walk him through the hospital." She replied through a shaky voice, "wait Nance- Eddie's name has been cleared." He stated, hearing Nancy tell the others, "it was just on the news- we'll explain everything when you get here okay?"
"Okay."

Lucas was stood by the vending machine when his eyes laid upon the four teenagers, they all made eye contact and let out sighs of relief, "hey." Dustin said through tears, pulling him in for a hug as the rest joined in, "where's- where's Eddie?" Lucas asked, "he's getting treated now." Steve replied, "where is she?" Steve's voice cracked, "follow me." Lucas led the way, down the hall to her room.

They all walked in and Max immediately stood up to stare at the group, they all looked completely broken at the imagine of Arwen.

"Oh my god." Robin burst out crying into Nancy's shoulder who was also sobbing, "Arwen." Steve let out, slowly going over to her bed, he crouched down next to it and held her hand, "do the doctor's know what's going to happen?" He hesitantly asked Max and Lucas, "not yet." Max whispered.

"Max your arm." Nancy rushed over to her but Max pulled her arm away, "I'm fine."
"Did he-"
"No. I fell after he let us go." She cut her off harshly but they all understood why, none of them could understand how bad it was for Max, what she saw in there, having to watch her girlfriend get cursed and not being able to stop it.

"Where is- Vecna now?" Lucas asked the question him and Max had been dreading the answer to, "Nancy took him out..." Robin started, "we thought that- he was dead but when he ran outside he was nowhere to be seen." Nancy bit down on her nails, "not the answer I wanted to hear." Lucas replied.

"So the cops just think it's Jason who did all this? With what proof- I don't understand?" Steve asked going back to what Lucas and Max had explained to them earlier, "well people were quick to assume it was Eddie." Robin added, "it just doesn't make sense." He carried on, "does any of this make sense?" Dustin questioned, "how was he even stopped and how did she survive?" Steve pressed on, "It was Eleven...she was there." Max admitted, "what?!" They all replied in unison, "what do you mean she was there?" Nancy questioned, "I don't exactly know how it worked- I guess it's the same way she spoke to Billy last year...through the void." She explained, "oh my god." Dustin let out, "so she knows what happened to Arwen?" Robin asked, "yeah..."

"Has anyone gotten in contact with them?" Dustin asked but they all shook their heads, "I'll try them, what about Arwen's mom?"
"Still no answer." Lucas replied, "great." Nancy folded her arms, "so the adults are still nowhere to be found and her mom doesn't even know her daughter's in a coma...Max, does your mom know you're here?" Nancy carried on, "yeah, she should be here in a bit."

"It's just lucky he didn't get as far as he did with Chrissy, Freddie and Patrick." Dustin said, going back onto the subject after looking at Arwen, "yeah real fucking lucky." Max stormed out of the room, slamming the door behind her as the group looked between each other, Dustin went to stand up but Nancy quickly put her hand out, "I've got this."
