A/n- I'm super worried people are going to find these chapters a little boring but I really wanted to show how the party and everyone reacted to Arwen, I promise it will get super good and drama filled again (even some 1985 summer nostalgia.)

Chapter 57~ The party returns.

"Arwen." He spoke, Arwen was scrunched up in the corner of a room in Victor's house crying for what felt like days, she had no real way of tracking time, "go away!" She screamed, "I want to take you somewhere."

"No, no, no!" She held her hands up to her ears, shouting, "open your eyes."
She slowly opened them to see she was at Starcourt mall, "watch very carefully."

Arwen slowly walked through looking over everything until she saw her stood by the fountain, "Max?" Arwen put her hand out to her but it went right through, it was an illusion.

She stared at Max who suddenly looked scared, she pointed behind and Arwen turned to see what it was. Billy was slowly walking towards them with blood pouring from his mouth, "Billy." Max cried, "it's time you see what you put me through." Billy got closer, "please Billy, you don't have to do this, Billy just please stop, Billy!" She panicked as Arwen watched in shock.

All of a sudden, he put his arm out and wrapped it around Max's neck, lifting her off the ground, "Max!" Arwen screamed, Max struggled under his grip and smacked his arms trying to get him to stop.

He then turned to Arwen and stared her right in the eyes, "this is your fault...you did this Arwen."

"I'm fine." Max abruptly wiped her tears and walked past the girl, "did you find out some bad news or something?" She asked as Max neatened up her hair in the bathroom mirror, "is it terminal?" She went on making Max rapidly turn around, "what?" She furrowed her eyebrows, "what are you talking about?"

"Well we're in a hospital and you're crying so..."
"It doesn't matter." She huffed, "what happened to your arm?" She asked, pointing to the cast, "I fell."
"Is that why you're crying?"
"Do you always ask this many questions?" Max snapped, "sorry, I'm not normally around people my age." She smiled, "why not?"
"Now who's asking questions." She grinned but Max didn't look entertained, "I sort of live at this hospital." She carried on, "my names Lydia."

"You live here?" Max questioned, "yeah...I have some rare blood disease, it's all super fun." She laughed, "I'm sorry." Max awkwardly looked down, "oh don't be, it's pretty much the new normal." Lydia smiled, "but you still haven't told me your name."

"I'm Max." She pursed her lips, "that's pretty."
"Thank you...look um- I really have to go." Max started inching towards the door, "well if you want to talk, I'm always here, literally." Lydia laughed, "I'll keep that in mind." Max replied before walking out.

The next day, the group managed to drag Max away from the hospital since she hadn't been outside in days.

Robin and Eddie decided to stay with Arwen back at the hospital since she still needed an adult around and Eddie technically couldn't walk around yet.

"Where are we going anyway?" Dustin huffed as they all lazily walked around town, "we're just on a walk, okay?" Steve shoved him as Max traipsed behind completely unamused with everything, "a nice family walk." Steve carried on earning a glare from Dustin.

"Who the hell is recklessly driving like that?" Lucas pointed to the van hurling towards them, "oh my god." Steve said realising who it was.

The van pulled over and they stepped out. Mike, Will, Jonathon and Eleven. They all looked at each other with so much relief.

"Holy shit!" Dustin and Lucas ran over to Will and Mike, embracing them in a hug whilst Eleven immediately ran to Max.

"Arwen- is she..." El cried, "no- no she's in the hospital." Max watched a wave of relief go over El's face, remembering she went days not knowing wether Arwen was gone or not.

"What happened whilst we were gone?" Jonathon asked Nancy and Steve, "a lot but we will explain everything once we get back." Nancy replied.

"Can we see her?" Mike walked over.

"Arwen." El let out, staring at the girl in her hospital bed. Nothing could stop El blaming herself for what happened. She stepped closer to the bed and took hold of her hand, followed by Will and Mike, "I can't believe we weren't here." Will's voice cracked, "do they know when she's going to wake up?" Mike asked as tears escaped onto his cheeks.

Nancy let out a sigh and looked between them, "they don't- they don't know if she will..." she whispered.

"El can I talk to you outside?" Max grabbed her attention, not wanting to hear the rest of the conversation. El nodded her head before following Max out into the hall, "I can't believe you're- you're here...I didn't know what happened once he-"

"He's gone." El cut her off, "how can you be sure?" Max questioned, "he's gone." She repeated, more stern this time, Max nodded her head nervously, "I just- I don't understand what happened...how were you there, how did nothing happen to me, why won't she wake up?" She choked up on the last sentence making El pull her in for a hug, "I went through the void, nothing happened to you because I didn't let it but I couldn't stop him from- she's hurt because I didn't stop him in time." El explained, now crying too.

"El this is not your fault. He could have done so much worse, she's still here because of you." Max pulled away and looked at her, "I do need to tell you something though." She carried on, "a few days ago...we noticed a tattoo on Arwen's wrist, she said it was hurting her and it was...an eleven tattoo."

"What?" El furrowed her eyes brows, visibly thinking, "he wanted to replace me." She whispered, "that's what it was?" Max asked, "I hope that's all it was."
