"Yes?" A woman answers the door to grandma and grandpas house.

Today was Friday and so we had to go to Friday night dinner.

"Hey. You're new." Mom points out as she looks at me and Rory.

"Uh, I started yesterday." The woman states

"What's your name?" Mom asks

"Liezl." The woman replies

"Okay, liezl. I'm Brigitte. This is gretel and Johanna." Mom lies. "And, uh, Emily and Richard Are expecting us."

"Oh, I'm sorry. Please come in."

We walk inside and we hear faint arguing.

"Uh, can I, um... get you a drink?" Liezl stutters

"You know what? That's okay. I can get it. Why don't you go hide in the kitchen?" Mom suggests

"Really? Thank you." Liezl sighs in relief and runs off.

"What is going on?" Rory questions us as the arguing continues.

"I don't know." Me and mom respond

"I think George and Martha are joining us for dinner." Mom jokes whilst we see grandma and grandpa walk down the stairs.

As they continue to argue, me, mom and Rory stand there watching them. Mom smiling away. They walk back upstairs, continuing to Argue.

"Wow, this is bad." I point out

"I know. I wish we had popcorn." Mom jokes again.

"Mom—"

"—Incoming. Shh." They come back down the stairs again.

Once they finish another round of arguing, they head back upstairs again.

"Maybe we should leave." Rory suggests

"Are you kidding? We've got dinner theater here." Mom states

"But grandma and grandpa are in a fight." I continue

"Yeah." Mom says in an obvious tone.

"Maybe they wouldn't want us to see." Rory explains

"Hey, we stumbled in here completely innocently. We came for dinner, as usual. We had no idea we were waking into 'the lion king' without the puppet heads." Mom smiles as grandpa And grandma come down the stairs again, grandpa spotting us in the meantime.

"Oh." Grandpa utters

"What?" Grandma asks as mom claps.

"Brava! Encore!" Mom exclaims. "Does Terrence McNally know about you two? Get me the phone!"

"Oh, Rory! Tori! What a nice surprise!" Grandma exclaims

Rory needed a book from grandpa and Rory dragged me along too. We had just finished school.

"Hey, grandma." Rory greets

"Hi, grandma. Sorry to butt in like this." I apologize

"Nonsense. Come and meet my friends. Ladies, I'd like you to meet my granddaughters, Rory, and tori." Grandma Introduces us

"Well, hello, Rory, tori." I lady says

"Nice to meet you." We tell her, in sync.

"My goodness, what pretty girls you are." The same woman states.

"They look just like Lorelai, don't they?" Another woman explains as me and Rory stand there awkwardly.

"The eyes!"
