Lisa paused for a moment. The smile on her face widened. Her bright eyes were shining with extreme coldness as she said, "Just wait, my revenge is about to begin..."
The sound of Lisa's footsteps gradually faded away. Hanbin was lying on the ground and staring blankly at the white ceiling. He could not understand. How could things progress to this point? Lisa looked at him with eyes full of coldness. There was neither love nor hate. He seemed to be just an insignificant and annoying bug that she would easily fan off.
Hanbin covered his eyes, clenched his fists, and punched the ground hard. He groaned and let out a sound like the roar of a trapped beast. Seeing Lisa return to the banquet hall, Nancy came out to check on the situation. She became panicked when she saw this scene and hurriedly helped Hanbin up. "Brother Hanbin, what happened to you? Why are you lying here? What did Lisa do to you?" She could not help but clench her teeth as she looked around. Could it be that Lisa called someone over to beat up Hanbin? Nancy had never seen Lisa acting ruthlessly, so she had never thought that Hanbin was beaten up by Lisa.
"Nancy, do you think I was wrong?" Hanbin went a little crazy. He gripped Nancy's wrist tightly and asked, "Do you think I did something wrong?"
"Brother Hanbin, what are you talking about?" Nancy had been pampered since she was young. She could not help but cry out in pain. She said in a low voice, "Brother Hanbin, you're hurting me so much. Be gentle. I don't know what you're talking about."
"Should I not compromise and agree with my parents?" Hanbin smiled miserably. He clutched his chest in pain and continued, "My heart hurts so much. Nancy, I feel terribly bad..." He began thinking what if he had not promised his parents to hold the engagement party? He should not have listened to his parents and joined the Su family through marriage. That must be the case. He wouldn't believe that Lisa did not like him anymore. How could Lisa not like him? When she was young, she had always followed behind him and called him Brother Hanbin. She even said that she would be his bride when she grew up... Lisa would not hate him. If she hated him, she would not have come to the engagement party. She must be so angry about his engagement, so she said so many hurtful words.
[This is the 1st male in a novel that I've seen is soo delusional usually this kind of character is given to females...]
Hanbin's painful mood was somewhat relieved. His exhausted body seemed to have been revived again. He forced himself to sit up and said, "I know what I have to do. Alright!" As he said that, Hanbin looked at Nancy whose eyes went teary. He gave her a tight hug. "Nancy, forgive me."
Hanbin had a pleasant scent on him. Nancy felt uneasy because of Hanbin's words initially. When Hanbin took the initiative to hug her, the uneasiness in her heart instantly dissipated. She suddenly felt embarrassed. She thought that Hanbin was apologizing for hurting her. Biting her lips, she answered shyly, "Brother Hanbin, no worries. We will be a family soon. You don't have to be so polite with me." As she spoke, she wanted to reach out and grab Hanbin's hand. Unfortunately, Hanbin ignored the sweet look on Nancy's face. Immersed in his own thoughts, he suddenly stood up and left.
"Brother Hanbin, wait for me!" Nancy was shy and helpless. She chased after Hanbin and grabbed his hand. "I'm wearing high heels. I can't walk fast."
Hanbin looked at Nancy and thought about his upcoming plan. He began to feel guilty and nodded. "Okay, I'll go slower."
Lisa returned to the banquet hall. She spotted Jungkook instantly. He was dressed in a suit with a cold expression on his face. He was in the midst of a conversation among a group of people.
Jungkook noticed Lisa's gaze and instantly looked over. When he saw Lisa, his expression immediately became gentle. Lisa waved at Jungkook and indicated that she was heading to a quieter place. Then, she turned around and left with a faint smile. Jungkook subconsciously wanted to chase after Lisa, but he was distracted by the people around him and couldn't excuse himself right away.
Lisa carefully avoided the crowd and headed to a quiet corner for a break. When she turned around, a nice fragrance came to her nose as she suddenly bumped into a soft body.
"Ah, I'm sorry." The woman was tall and slender. She had wavy hair, fiery red lips, and a sexy figure. When she realized that she had bumped into someone else, the woman apologized politely, "I was on the phone with my boyfriend. I didn't know where I was going. I'm sorry, I didn't hurt you, did I?"
