Miraculous Fanfiction Season 5 - The Last Day

The Fox Miraculous IV

Lila was about to make another fake post about Ladybug, where she was supposedly supporting her, but in reality, she was about to tear her hair out. 

She strolled into the kitchen and grabbed a plate. Suddenly, as she turned around, someone was standing behind her. It was Ultimoth, with a grin on his face. 

An Akuma fluttered around on his finger. "Lila Rossi," he greeted the girl. "Hawkmoth...or should I say Ultimoth," Lila grinned. How long she had waited for this moment. Ultimoth stepped closer. "Are you going to give me the Akuma back?" she asked curiously. "Much better, I'll give you a Miraculous," Hawkmoth said. So, he opened his fist and handed her the fox's necklace. "Now you will be the new bearer of the Miraculous. Volpina"

Marinette and Alya were sitting on the bench outside, their eyes fixed on the river before them. For once, the two friends had allowed themselves some time out. They ate their ice cream peacefully, glistening in the warm sun. "Hawkmoth will probably give the Miraculous to akumatized people one by one now. We need to be vigilant," Alya explained and sighed. Marinette just nodded, her mind still storming, the chaos trying to sort itself out after all that had happened. It was just too much for the last couple of days.

Suddenly there were screams and a crash. Marinette turned around instinctively. 

A supervillain had appeared and was dropping bombs on the city that looked like Ladybug dolls. "People of Paris! Let Ladybug wreak havoc on you! HAHAHA! Because I, Ladybug Destroyer, will show you all that Ladybug is the true evil!" his voice echoed through the city streets. "Damn it, you have to transform!" shouted Alya angrily. "Hide," said Marinette immediately, running down the stairs into the subway and transforming.

She swung herself up with the Jojo and jumped onto one of the many rooftops. She ran swiftly towards the villain. Now people were also being akumatized because they were angry or disappointed or scared of Ladybug. This only gave Hawkmoth more chances! Just as Ladybug was lost in her thoughts, a voice snapped her out of it. "Take that Ladybug!" shouted the Ladybug Destroyer, throwing a Ladybug doll. She quickly dodged as the doll exploded behind her. Ladybug dashed forward and tried to tie up her opponent, which was not so easy. The Ladybug Destroyer was agile and managed to dodge the yoyo. But he hadn't expected the sudden blow from behind. 

Suddenly, Cat Noir appeared and struck the rogue with his staff. "Surprise," Chat meowed and landed next to his lady. She smiled gratefully at him. "Hey," she greeted him. "Well, have you recovered a bit?" he wanted to know as he dodged another doll. His blond hair blew in the wind. "Yes, a little... but you're here now," Ladybug said and grinned. They both jumped up and attacked the Ladybug Destroyer. Ladybug tied him up with the yoyo while Cat Noir activated his cataclysm. "Where's the Akuma?" Chat wanted to know. 

The villain wriggled around desperately. 

"Try his bracelet!" shouted Ladybug, pulling the yoyo tighter. Cat Noir obeyed and destroyed the bracelet. The Akuma fled into the air. "Your dark times are over, little Akuma!" she shouted. "You won't have to be angry anymore," with these words she caught the black butterfly. The villain transformed back. Ladybug released the butterfly. "Well done," said Cat Noir and the two of them gave their check. But just as Cat Noir was about to send a charming joke, there was a huge explosion and a deafening noise. Startled, the two turned around. Smoke and fire rose in the distance and buildings collapsed. "Oh no! Quick, we have to get there," Ladybug shouted and jumped up, Chat followed her in bewilderment. If there was an explosion, then there was still a giant risk, that people would get hurt! And Ladybug would never want to see others get hurt...

Volpina, this time with the fox's real Miraculous, was hiding behind a wall and watching the heroes run to the explosion. A big grin appeared on her masked face. 

"Volpina," she heard Hawkmoth's voice through the loudspeaker in her ear. 

"Ladybug-Destroyer's explosion is over, Ladybug and Cat Noir are about to drop by, and then...you use your power," Ultimoth explained and laughed. She would trick the heroes. And then the Miraculous would be hers. But of course, she would play her role and bring Hawkmoth the magic jewels. Just in the last moment, she would disobey him. It would be so easy and perfect! 

Volpina grinned hollowly. "Just come Ladybug and Cat Noir, your fate has long been sealed," she hissed. Soon their moment would come and then Ladybug and Cat Noir would lose...
