Marinette sat with Alya on her bed and discussed all the events of the last week one last time. "Ultimot is still one step ahead of us! How are we supposed to get all the Miraculous back?" said Marinette and sighed heavily. "It's not your fault, Marinette," replied Alya and stroked her best friend's shoulder. "Of course it's my fault!" Marinette interjected, shocked.
"None of this would have happened if I hadn't confused Felix with Adrien! Then none of this would have happened! Luka would also know who Ladybug and Cat Noir are," explained the girl with blue hair. "Can you believe that?" she asked Alya. "Yes, because the two of them are hardly different and because Felix pretended to be Adrien!" said Alya calmly.
"He fooled everyone," she noted. "But not me! When I say I love Adrien, but don't know a single real thing about him. I don't really know him, it seems," Marinette grumbled, squeezing her pillow. "Of course you do! You've been through so much together," Alya replied, smiling. "You trained together for the video game championship," she listed. "He wore your hat and you've been to the movies before, more or less!" she added confidently. "And you kissed him on the cheek on Heroes' Day," she remembered. "And the wax figures..." Alya wanted to say, but Marinette interrupted her.
"Yes, I kissed him there, blind with love! You see!" Marinette objected. "I can't even tell the real Adrien from a statue," she mumbled. "That's exactly why I made the biggest mistake of my life," she finished her speech. "Don't worry, we're all in, even without Miraculous. Especially since we've already recaptured four Miraculous!" Alya encouraged her. Marinette hesitated for a moment. "But as long as I'm fighting Ultimot, I can't fall in love with Adrien..." she decided. "Aren't you going somewhere tomorrow?" Alya asked, confused. "Oh, right... I forgot," she mumbled embarrassedly.
"Yes, you see? Don't give up on him. Not now. Together you are stronger, you know, the power of love," said Alya, laughing. Suddenly Marinette's cell phone started to ring. It was Adrien! "Look, the boy you like is calling you... don't you want to answer it?" Alya joked. Marinette answered uncertainly.
"Hey Marinette. I wanted to tell you something," he greeted her. "Hey, I-um, go ahead," said Marinette, blushing. "My father agrees that I don't work as a model anymore!" he said happily. Marinette's eyes grew wider. "What? You don't want to be a model anymore? That's great!" Marinette replied enthusiastically. "I wanted to tell you... Since I started school, everything was so new to me," he said, scratching the back of his head. "But thanks to you, my life has changed... speaking of which. Where do we want to go tomorrow?" the blonde wanted to know. "Maybe after school, do we want to... go to the park and have some... ice cream or something?" Marinette suggested. Her cheeks glowed.
"That sounds good. See you tomorrow, Marinette," he ended the call. "See you tomorrow, Adrien. Good night."
"Sleep well."That ended the call. Marinette looked at Alya. "Oh girl, you spoke without stuttering. You two fit together so well," Alya blurted out. "Eeeee!" Marinette squeaked and threw herself on the pillows. Tomorrow was her first date with Adrien!

"Marinette is so special..." Adrien said, putting the phone down with a smile. "If you keep saying she's just a 'good friend', I'll shove all my Camembert in your face, OK?" Plagg grumbled. Adrien didn't reply, but just fell asleep thinking about Marinette.

It was already late at night when Nathalie's car rolled across the parking lot and she entered the Agrest home. She got out of the car and could see Gabriel at the window. But she didn't even look at him and walked past him. Gabriel looked at the floor emotionlessly. The first thing she did was go to the second floor and check how Adrien was.
She quietly opened the door and looked at Adrien sleeping peacefully. A relieved smile flashed across her face. Then she closed the door and disappeared.
