Kagami shook her head and straightened her hair. She looked at herself in the mirror and tried to remember when she had last smiled. The girl with blue hair thought of the boy with blond hair, his green eyes sparkling in the sunlight. Adrien. Kagami's thoughts wandered again, so she decided to answer her cell phone. She tried to distract herself, but then she remembered that she only had two contacts on her cell phone. Adrien... and Marinette. She hesitated briefly, then dialed her number. Apart from Marinette and Adrien, she didn't know anyone, and no one was really her friend. That's why she found it a little difficult to deal with people. But Adrien...

Kagami shook her head. After a few seconds, Marinette answered. "Kagami! I'm glad to hear from you again," Marinette greeted her. A brief smile flashed across Kagami's face. She was as always, so over-motivated. "Hey, Marinette. How...are you?" Kagami said desperately. "Me? I'm just...fantastic!" Marinette said, but somehow Kagami sensed that this was a lie. She forced herself to scratch around in her brain for friendly small talk sentences.

"Are you really okay? You seem so...tense," Kagami replied. There was silence for a moment, then Marinette sighed. "You're right, so much has happened recently...we..." Marinette searched for the right words. "We can meet tomorrow or something...I can pick you up," Marinette suggested. "What? What do you mean?" Kagami asked, taken aback. "I got a moped for my birthday recently...I could pick you up and we could go to a café," Marinette said. Kagami hesitated for a moment. Would her mother allow this?

"Tomorrow is fine," Kagami said anyway. "See you tomorrow, I'll call you later," and Marinette hung up. Kagami had to smile. She was still sad about Adrien, but a little distraction couldn't hurt, right? Kagami was packing her bag for fencing when suddenly there was a knock on her door.

"You have a guest, Kagami," she heard her mother. But when Kagami opened the door, an unexpected sight awaited her. The girl Lila Rosi was standing in front of her.

The kwamis were still floating frightened in the hidden room upstairs in the Agrests' villa when Barkk suddenly stood up and looked around. "He seems... to be gone again... so..." she gasped weakly. The other kwamis gathered around. "We have to get out of here, otherwise Ultimoth will kill us!" Orikko squeaked. Wayzz nodded in agreement. "We have to do something... but what?" he hissed. "Do you remember Sandboy?" said Barkk and tried to calm the Kwamis down. It was in vain.

"Yes, and what about that?" Kaakli wanted to know. "Together we managed to fight against his thoughts," explained Barkk. The Kwamis seemed to understand the plan. "But this time there are fewer of us," Wayzz objected worriedly. "We have to try, otherwise it could be the end of us," emphasized Barkk. She smiled.

"It's time we made a choice."

Ladybug had just come out of her house because she was starting to patrol the city again. She paused briefly as she let her gaze wander over the forecourt at the Eifeltrum. So much has happened here. So much had happened in the last few days. All at once. Shadowmoth's attack on Paris with Strike Back...

Felix had betrayed Ladybug and given Hawkmoth all the Miraculous. Then Volpina had lured her into a trap and almost caught her. One day later they had had to fight in the temple in Tibet, where Yaemia had fallen, where Master Su Han had gathered the council. That same week they had traveled to Versailles, actually on a school trip. But Ultimoth had wanted to force Queen Bee to choose there. One day later, Ultimoth had risked using the Miraculous of Time and traveling through time. But she and her partner Cat Noir had managed to get the Miraculous back and give it to Alix. But something else had happened yesterday. Luka was forced to undergo akumatization and for whatever reason, he had completely erased his memory of Ladybug and Cat Noir. Ladybug looked at her phone and remembered the snake Miraculous that had been lying on her hand.

She sighed.

What was the reason why Luka had erased his memory? Why? She would think about it later. But first she wanted to talk to Chat. She took out her yo-yo and dialed Cat Noir. She left a message. "Hey kitty, let's meet at our place, I have something to discuss with you," she said and sat down on the edge of the roof. Her gaze slid back to the Eiffel Tower and the sunset.

Alya Cesseir had just come back from her friend Nino when she took out the keys and opened the door. She noticed that there was something in the mailbox. Alya put down the bag and took out the newspaper when a letter fell to the floor. Trixx in her fanny pack looked out curiously. Alya picked up the letter and froze. There was only one word in capital letters on the letter:

  LADYBUG

Ann put her third cup of coffee on the table and sighed. She was still trying to repair her Miraculous, while she had the whole of Paris in her eyes in the background. The robot butterflies fluttered around and filmed everything. Nathalie had been gone for almost 24 hours, and the researcher was slowly starting to worry. Where was Nathalie and was she OK? But before she could sink further into her thoughts, Gabriel Agrest came in.

"I need a big advertising campaign, organize it for me by tomorrow," with these words he disappeared. Ann looked after him lazily. Had the man really gone mad?
