The last Day: Confrontation VII - Cat Blanc 2.0

"Don't. touch. her," Chat growled, the blood from his lip dripping onto Marinette's forehead, still holding her tightly to him. "I don't need to. I just have to wait. Tick Tock Adrien," Hawkmoth dared. "I don't care, I'll protect my lady, even without my Miraculous," he hissed and laid Marinette's head on his lap. Hawkmoth laughed. "What a shame. You two make such a good couple!" Hawkmoth remarked, his grin only getting wider. Everything was going according to plan. 30 seconds later, it flashed through Chat Noir's mind. Suddenly he heard a woman's voice. A helicopter hovered over the smoke and the destroyed building. "We have breaking news! Alya Cessair has just revealed all of the Agrests' dark secrets!" the reporter could be heard. "What?" Hawkmoth paused. 

"It's too late, Gabriel!" Nadja Chamack called, her face covered in dirt. "Gabriel Agrest is Hawkmoth! And his beloved Emelie is lying in his basement!" Nadja's voice rang in Cat Noir's ears. "What...? What..." gasped Cat Noir. "Father?" his voice choked. Hawkmoth looked down regretfully. "I'm doing it for us, Adrien, I'm doing it for her. For Emelie," he replied, biting his tongue. I'm so sorry...Adrien, he thought. "No...no...that can't be true...you're a...monster," Cat Noir's voice broke. Tears welled up in his face again, his arms went limp, he looked at Marinette blurry. "I...knew...it...Adrien..." Marinette whispered, then she turned lifelessly to the side, her hand in Adrien's. "No...no...no," Adrien sobbed. Ten. "Please wake up!" he cried desperately. Nine. What was he supposed to do? Eight. "Give me your Miraculous, son," Hawkmoth demanded, while he itched his ring finger. Seven. "NO!" Adrien yelled, closing his eyes. He just wanted to get away! He didn't want any of this! Six. "Well," he heard his father blurry. An Akuma fluttered towards him. Ladybug wanted to protect him from it. From Cat Blanc. Five. The butterfly melted into the ring. Four. "I'm so sorry...Marinette," Adrien choked. Three. He felt the darkness spreading. Two. It was too late. One. Adrien fell to the ground. Zero.

"You will pay for this. You will pay for everything, father," he stood up. He carried Marinette in his hands. His blue, ice-cold eyes bored into Hawkmoth. "You will pay for this with your life," he growled. He was no longer Adrien. He was no longer Cat Noir. Now he was Cat Blanc.

"What?" Hawkmoth paused. "Obey me, now!" he yelled, stretching out his hand, but he could no longer feel the ring. He had... the... wrong... ring... "No, Adrien! Stay where you are immediately," he ordered. But Cat Blanc shook his head. Gabriel gasped. He had Felix's ring. And Nathalie... had... "I am Cat Blanc... and you," the white cat pointed at the man, "are no longer my father. My father died for me. No, wait..." the cat grinned. 

"I will kill you with my own hands. Just like you did to my mother," his white hair blew in the wind, his hands clenched. Nadja's helicopter dared to land while the rotor blades scraped against the walls of the house. "Wait, Adrien, let's settle everything peacefully. I don't want to fight you, please give me your Miraculous. I can make everything right again?" Gabriel tried to calm his son. Sweat ran down his forehead. That was not good at all, he had no control over his son. Cat Blanc carefully laid Marinette down on the floor, a tear ran down his cheek and dripped onto his bell. "My princess," he gasped. 

"Do you see what you did to her? How dare you just want to talk!?" Cat Blanc yelled, his eyes narrowing. "I-" Hawkmoth was interrupted. "You are a monster! Your robots are destroying all of Paris! You have put millions of people in danger! You have terrorized this city for months!" Cat Blanc interjected. He stood up, his knees shaking a little. His gaze slid to Nino and Cloé. "You have manipulated, lied, abused and hurt young people!" his words echoed through the empty streets. "No, I-" Hawkmoth didn't know what to say. "Would mother ever have wanted this? Did she want you to torture innocent people?" Cat Blanc asked, his voice breaking. Hawkmoth took a step back. Nadja got out of the helicopter and filmed everything with her camera.
