"THAT'S not what the law says!—" Hindi na naituloy pa ni Polaris ang sasabihin nang biglang pagak na tumawa si Galileo.

"People always say that like it's a fucking surprise. Why can't you all see that even the government doesn't play by their own rules? The real law here is them. Whatever the hell they say, that's what y'all follow whether you like it, or not."

Pilit na ngumiti na lamang si Faker kay North bago walang ganang napabuga.

"As you can see, this man here is very political," ani Faker bago umiling ng marahan.

"I'm not political. I hate politics. I only stated the obvious because as you can see, this woman here is totally clueless like she's been living under a rock. Listen here Polaris, you need to use your brain if you really want to stay away from trouble. Rather than stealing money from crawlers, why not just work two jobs?"

"You're one to talk! As if you've worked for something! I may not be a mind reader like you but I know one thing! You're rich! You don't have to work for anything because your daddy's money can cover up for everything you need! You think it's easy to work double time then fuck it, let's switch lives!" singhal ni Polaris bago humakbang para sana sugurin si Galileo pero agad naman siyang hinarangan ni Faker.

"Be careful what you wish for." malamig na saad ni Galileo habang seryosong nakatitig kay Polaris at nanataling nakatayo nang tuwid sa puwesto niya kahit pa balak na siyang sugurin ng dalaga.

"Damn it, Gal! When are you going to stop firing that fucking mouth of yours?!" bulyaw ni Faker sa kaibigan habang pinipigilan pa rin si Polaris na makalapit.

"What do you want me to say? That there's a rainbow in every corner? That unicorns really exist? We just went inside a shitty alley and guess what we found? A crawler! Not a fucking white horse with a pink hair!"

Nandilim ang mga mata ni Faker at matalim na tinitigan si Galileo bago muling nilingon si Polaris saka ngumiti nang malapad na para bang walang nag-uumapaw tensyon.

"Ignore him. I've been with this bastard for 3 years, I know how offensive he can be. He made one of our professors cry once. Lucky for him, he didn't get suspended."

Nagusot lamang ang mukha ni Polaris habang hindi makapaniwalang nilingon si Galileo na bigla namang umirap.

"Seriously?"

"Yeah. On behalf of him, I apologize for everything he said." ani Faker sabay kamot sa batok na parang batang nayayamot, "Anyway, it's best if we leave right away. The Special Police are already at the crime scene and I bet they'll be checking everywhere. If you ever get in trouble just uhm," biglang napadukot si Faker sa kaniyang bulsa bago inilabas ang isang cellphone, "you can call my number—"

"I don't think I'll need that." mabilis na tanggi ni Polaris, "I honestly don't want to see the both of you again. Especially," Itinuro ng dalaga si Galileo, "this friend of yours. I don't want to see his face ever."

"Likewise." malamig na hirit ni Galileo.

Natigilan naman bigla si Faker at biglang natahimik. Hindi niya inasahan ang magiging reaksyon ng dalaga pero hindi niya rin ito masisi. Wala siyang nagawa kundi ang bumuntong hininga bago mapait na nginitian si Polaris.

"I understand. Again, I'm sorry for all the trouble. I hope to see you again though. Maybe just you and me alone."

Naningkit ang mga mata ni Polaris sa sobrang pagtataka pero bago pa siya makapagsalita ay biglang inabot ng binata ang kaniyang kamay.

"The name's Faker by the way."

"Fucker? As in fuck?" takang tanong ni Polaris na agad ikinaimpit na tawa ni Galileo.
