Everyone's favourite character.

They arrived later that evening, at Castaspella's house.

Her house felt more like a castle, to Adora. The stone walls were rounded on the inside, only noticeable from the rooms located at each corner of the house.

Adora rubbed her arms as they walked through the hallway. Pictures lines the way, of their family. It was weird, seeing a time capsule of the parents Adora had never met, and the father she never had.

Glimmer glanced towards the wall, her smile curving downwards. Adora and Bow both looped arms with her.

"Do you remember the game room?"

"Hm?" Glimmer looked up. "Right, right. The cards. We used to play cards here, guys."

"I still do," she said. "Every Wednesdays, with the girls from church. We can play later, if you'd like."

"You always cheat," Angella said, smiling, "But I guess that makes it more of a challenge, right, Adora?"

"Uh...yeah." Adora shook her head. "I don't cheat at cards."

"Sure," Glimmer said. "And I don't wear glitter."

"I don't cheat! You discard all the same cards in a row, without even looking at what I pick up. Can you blame me if I use them in my sets, when I sit next to you? Honestly, I'd rather you didn't, because then it would be harder to beat you." Adora said all that without taking a breath. "Oh, shit. Sorry. I didn't mean it like that."

Glimmer laughed. "It's okay. That card game sounds great, but do you mind, Aunt Casta, if we wait till tomorrow? We have a show to see tonight."

"We can drive you over. Where is it?"

"Downtown. I'll send a map." Glimmer grinned. "This is gonna be so much fun."

...

This was the second time in a month that Adora dressed up. What were those odds?

Well, she wasn't as dressed up as she was in winter prom. She wore dress jean pants, and a shirt from Glimmer. It had big, black sequins on it, but somehow it looked cute. In laser tag, Adora would never wear either, for sight and mobility reasons, but for a drag show? It was kinda exciting.

Adora was playing with them when Glimmer walked in. "So," she said." "You like?"

"Oh, definitely." Adora made her best model pose. "I feel like a superstar."

Glimmer snapped a picture. "And...that's going to Catra. Thanks for the funny face."

"I wasn't trying to..." Adora shook her head. "Nevermind. Let's go."

...

The first thing Adora heard was pop music. Then she noticed the spotlight directed at the stage, as a Drag Queen lip sung in perfect tune-er, well, Adora assumed the tune had to be perfect. That was the recording, right? It was hard to tell, with how matched up her singing was.

If it wasn't autotuned, you'd wonder.

Glimmer led them both to a booth in the back, like she'd been here before. She left about a second later, but Adora barely noticed under the glittering lights of the performer above.

"They look like warriors." Adora shook her head. "I wish I were tall."

"You are tall," Bow said. "You're just not like, eight feet tall."
