Chapter 40

Sammie pov...

It had been a about a month since Chris went back to work and everything was going great. Sophie and Chris where closer than ever and each day she would wait eagerly by the door for him to come home. It was so sweet to see her kiss him goodbye in the morning only to wait by the front door when he was coming home in the evening.  Chris would call us on his lunch break every day... Sophie loved it. Especially when Scarlet would come on the phone to make fun of daddy... She loves Scarlet, Colin and their kids. There had been play dates and the other day i watched their kids as Colin had been sick. I told Scarlet to bring the kids over so she could go to work, and Colin could just recover without having to worry and care for their little ones. 

But i think watching their kids had made it that i now got the bug, Colin had before. Sophie had been sick after that and i guess now it was my turn...Today Chris had left really early to set. They had an early morning shoot which meant he had to leave earlier than normal... We had decided to let Sophie sleep and after he had kissed me goodbye, he had gone to work... I had not told him i was not feeling so well... I didn't want him to worry and i was used to taking care of Sophie even when i was sick....

I am still snoozing when all of a sudden Sophie jumped on the bed making me groan. "Morning mommy!" She squealed being her happy bubbly self... "Morning sweetheart." I said smiling as her little face hovered over mine. "Mommy, where is daddy?" She asks me and i smile... "I am sorry baby. He has already gone to work... He had to leave really early..." I say and for a second, she looks disappointed. 

 But she quickly shrugged it off..."Can we go to the park today." Sophie asked all excited and i let out a little sigh... "Not today sweetie mommy isn't feeling to well." I said giving her a little smile. "Are you sick?" She asked crawling under the covers with me. "Mommy will be fine sweetheart... Come and cuddle with mommy." She cuddled into me and i put on some cartoons. 

"Mommy?" Sophie whispered after a while. "I am hungry." I smiled and got up lifting her with me. "Let's go make you some breakfast." I say making my way to the kitchen. I made her some breakfast but the thought of it alone made me wanna throw up so i didn't eat anything. After Sophie was done i lifted her up my arm. "Shall we have a lazy day milady..." I said smiling at her and Sophie knew what i meant. She nodded and i walked us to the bedroom putting her in bed with me.

I put on the little mermaid and got comfortable. Whenever i had was sick we would have lazy days which meant watching movies and sleep... It was so i could keep an eye on her and have her close... Sometimes Sara and Liam would have come by to help me with them but overall, i would be on my own not wanting anyone else to get sick. I smile as i look down and Sophie is struggling to keep her eyes open... I let out a sigh and close my own eyes and soon i drift off myself...

Chris pov...

It was lunch time so i called home to check in on my girls like i did every day. The call got answered and Sophie appeared on the screen. "Hey princess..." I said smiling. "Did you steal mommy's phone again?" I said smirking. She nodded and giggled that little mischievous twinkle in her eyes. "Where is mommy sweetheart?" I asked. She turned the phone and i saw a sleeping, Sammie. I was a little surprised. Sammie normally never slept during the day when alone with Sophie.

"Mommy is sick." She said and i was a little surprised. She had not told me she was sick this morning... I kept talking to Sophie all the while texting ma to ask if she wanted to check on Sophie and Sammie. I found it strange as to last night Sammie was fine but who knows sometimes these things come over night. I kept talking with Sophie until ma had arrived and she took over the phone lifting Sophie out of bed. Ma took the phone and hung up calling me from her own phone as she arrived at the living room.
