Chapter 72

Sammie pov...

I can't believe Chris has kept the pregnancy to himself for almost 3 weeks. For some reason i wasn't ready to share with anyone yet... loving the fact that only me and Chris knew and to get my head wrapped around the fact we were going to have twins... To say i was in shock is an understatement... I am scared... Scared that this pregnancy will be a tough one... The morning sickness was kicking my butt but thankfully it was getting a bit better.... But today we were going to tell the family and Sophie. We had arranged a game night at our place and i had made gift boxes for everyone to open at once. The box contained a shirt with the following text "Oops we did it again" a picture of the ultrasound underneath it. Then there was a card on the bottom that said, double trouble expected in November with 2 sets of feet underneath it.

Chris was getting Julia and Sophie ready while i was setting up all the snacks for the kids and adults. I was just hoping they would take the news well. I had set everything up when Chris came walking in Sophie following behind and Julia in his arms. "Looks good baby." He says as he sees the boxes standing on the table for each to unpack. I sigh. "I just hope they will be excited...." I said a little worried.

Chris looked at me with a grin. "Oh, they will, trust me." He says kissing my forehead. "How are you feeling today?" He asks. "I am fine... It's just... I am not making popcorn today..." I say letting out a sigh. "The scent will make me puke...."

"The family will survive without popcorn baby..." He says kissing me again.

The doorbell rang and Scott and Shanna walked in. "Who is ready for game night?" Scott said holding up a bottle of tequila. "You're on daddy duty tonight." Scott said patting Chris shoulder, "Your wife is finally able to drink again, so she and i are going to do shots." I looked at Chris slightly panicked. "She is still breastfeeding buddy so...." Chris said. "Oh, come on." Scott whined. "Sorry Scott." I said blushing. A few minutes later Carly and her family walked in together with Lisa.

Greetings were given all around and after everyone was sitting down at the table Lisa had taken Julia in her lap while Scott was sitting with Sophie on his. Chris made sure everyone had drinks. We stood on the head of the table and Chris wrapped his arm around me resting his hand on my hip pulling me into his side. "So, you might wonder what's with the boxes..." He said grinning. "Well, we have a little surprise.... So, on the count of 3 you may all open your boxes."

We counted to 3 and all opened their boxes, and the room went silent Carly was the first to squeal screaming a "NO WAY." The rest soon followed all holding up the t-shirts. That was until Carly's husband found the card at the bottom and started to read while everyone was still busy looking at their shirts. "Double trouble expected in November..." He read out loud and everyone fell silent letting it sink in until the bomb dropped.

"OMG twins?" Lisa looked at us in shock. We both nodded and she walked over to us hugging me tightly. "Wait you just had a baby...." Scott said looking at us weirdly. "How is this even possible?" Chris and i started laughing. "I tell you when you're a little bit older Scott" I said to him grinning. "Wauw having 3 kids under the age of 2 that will be.... wauw." Shanna said. "Tell me about it" I said giving everyone a small smile. "Well, it was maybe not entirely planned like this, but it is certainly welcome." Chris said smiling.

We got hugs and congratulations from everyone and then i turned to Sophie who hadn't said a word. I walked over picked her up and walked to a quiet part of the house. "Wanna tell me what is on your mind sweetheart?" I whispered in her ear giving her a big hug.

She didn't say anything. "Are you sad that mommy and daddy having 2 babies?" She nodded her head a little. "Why is that sweetheart?" I ask her worried. "You are not going to love me anymore." She whispered.
