Chapter 73

Sammie pov

Today we are driving to New York, Chris has a few interviews in late night talk shows and seeing as we could drive to New York we decided to make a little family trip of it. We arrive at my apartment which i never sold knowing we could use whenever we would be here. I greeted and hugged my old doorman, taking him by surprise. Sophie was babbling to him about all the things that happened since moving to Boston... He was patiently listening with a big smile on his face... Chris had arranged for someone to put up a nursery seeing as there where only a room for me and Sophie. Still, it was a bit strange being back here... It was not home anymore... I loved this place and still do but home was now our house in Boston... The house that had been renovated to our liking... Our little slice of peaceful heaven...

We had settled in for the night and where all up early in the morning to go for a walk, in Central Park before we all would go to the studio for his appearance on Jimmy Fallon late night show. Chris really wanted us to be there all to introduce us to Jimmy, who he was sort of friends with.

We arrived at the studio getting ushered in but not before Chris signed some autographs for the fans, making Sophie look all confused as to why people were screaming at her dad. She walked over to him, and he lifted her up his arm while talking to someone. He said goodbye waving to the people, and we went inside.

We were led to a dressing room where they had put up all sort of toys for Sophie and even a little crib to put Julia in if needed...

Sophie giggled as Chris was getting his hair and make-up done. She was fascinated by it, so the girls did her hair and make-up to. Jimmy came to say hello. "I have a question and feel free to say no..." Jimmy said. We looked at him. "We want to play a game and thought maybe it is fun to have Sammie out to play the game with us...."

Chris looked at me and i shrugged my shoulders. "I dont have someone to watch the kids..." I said looking down. "We have someone to watch them..." He said smiling. I hesitated not knowing these people and leaving my kids with them made me a little anxious. "It's my wife..." Jimmy said smiling and he opened the door when there was a little knock on it. Chris greeted her giving her a hug and she smiled at me before hugging me to. "Okay." I said feeling a bit more confident of her watching Sophie and Julia.

Make-up came back in and i was glad i had put on a nice dress today. They did my make-up while Chris was brought to the studio to start the interview. I watched on the TV in the room Jimmy starting the show doing his usual bit. "Dont worry sweetheart..." Jimmy's wife said. "You will do great."

I smiled shaking my head. "Chris is the charming one in our family..." I chuckled "I will look like a deer in the headlights." I was led to the side of the stage to wait to be called out. I watched the interview on the sideline.

They talked a bit about Chris his project before talking about family. He talked about my pregnancy, announcing that it indeed where twins and the whole crowd cheered. Jimmy told everyone they would play a game and announced me.

I put on my most charming smile and walked on being greeted by Jimmy and helped up the step by Chris before he gave me a sweet kiss, whispering i was doing great. He helped me sit down.

"Welcome to the show Sammie." Jimmy said smiling. "Thank you it's nice to be here." I said blushing a little. "So, we are going to play the newlywed game... " Jimmy said smiling all excited.

"Oh boy." I said taking a deep breath. "Better bring your A game babe." I said looking at Chris serious, making him smirk. "Yes dear." He said joking making me smile and the crowd laugh. "Wauw you both are competitive aren't you." Jimmy asked laughing. "Well, it is a requirement to become part of the Evans family..." I said joking and Chris nodded smiling.
