Chris pov...

It was a few days later and we were on our way to meet our realtor at one of the houses she had selected for us. It was the first time since Sammie had been followed, that Sammie and Sophie had left the house and i could sense that Sammie was a bit tense. Security had been amped up especially after no one seemed too able to figure out who it was... The person had been seen on camera at the grocery store, but their face had been hidden by a cap and sunglasses. The big coat the person was wearing made it so that you could not see who it was... They had been seen snooping around the car... The car went for a checkup, and they found a tracking device on it... It was scary... The tracking device had been handed to the police and we had filed a report... Now all we could do was wait and let the police do their job... But i dont think they were taking it seriously... It pisses me off but what could i do...

I laid my hand on Sammie's leg rubbing circles with my thumb and she relaxes looking at me smiling. I hate that she is scared and hasn't dared to leave the house... Deep down we know who is doing this, but it can't be proven and that is frustrating... But above all it is sad because Sammie loves to take Sophie out to the park or just on a walk and now, she is scared to. Even with security she rather stays home... She even had postponed Sophie going to daycare... This meant she had to push back the deadline of the book she was working on right now... I tried to give her some time to write. As much as i tried Sophie always found a way to distract her mother and this meant that she barely had time to work... When me and ma suggested to have Sophie go to her for a day or two Sammie turned it down... She wanted to be close...

I look in the rearview mirror to see John, the security detail and a security expert in alarm installations were following in a car behind us. The guys were glued to Sammie and Sophie... Always close... Even when home alone now... I was not taking chances... A trailer had been placed at the end of the property where they would stay 24/7 just in case...They had everything to be comfortable there, including a feed from the outside cameras around the house...

We arrived at the first house and i could see that Sammie was looking at it, but her face said it all. She did not like it and i had to admit it didnt do it for me to... It was to modern... To clinical... Even on the outside.

I took Sophie out the car, and we walked up to the realtor who was my longtime friend Tara. We both greeted her, and Tara hugged Sammie tight. Sammie was surprised that it was Tara as the last time they saw each other Tara was still a stay-at-home mom. Tara and Sammie always got along... Sammie was not insecure when it came to my friendships with women...But i thought seeing Tara was a nice surprise for her. "It is so good to see you again..." Tara said smiling. "I am so happy you are back together." Sammie smiled... "Good to see you to... How are the kids?" She asks Tara and soon they are in a conversation while i point things out to Sophie who is looking around.

"Let me show you the house" Tara said smiling when she and Sammie had caught up a bit. We walked around and i watched Sammie. "You dont like it do you?" She looked at me surprised. "How did you...?" I chuckled. "Your face says it all."  I say smirking at her. "I am sorry it is a beautiful home i just dont feel it it is to...." She says looking around..."Modern?" I say finishing her sentence. She nods. "It feels too clinical or something."

"No problem" Tara says i have a few more houses to show you. We get back to the car and drive to the next house. It is a little farmhouse in the middle of nowhere. "I like the house Sammie says as we walk around, i just dont like that it is in the middle of nowhere..." She mumbles. I agree with her on that nodding. "It is too far away from family..." I say and Sammie nods. Tara smiles. "Well onto the next then." We arrive at the next house and i could see a smile forming on Sammie's face.
