NATHANIEL
"Yeah, we need mate, we need to find her," Ox suddenly comes into my mind.
"Thank god you got rid of that bitch, she was nothing. Mate will be better," he says.
I ignore him.
"Ox, do you have any idea where our mate could be?" I ask as I have been wondering, especially since he has been acting weird since we found them two rogues this morning.
He was pissed at me when I was telling Eric that I would take Alyssa as our chosen mate. He was also more pissed when I mentioned I would keep the two of them. He hates Alyssa.
Ox is quiet for a moment. "I don't know, but I think she is close by," he says quietly.
I turn off the water to the shower and wrap a towel around my waist. I head into my room and glanced around my room.
The slut has gone, thank the goddess.
I walk over to the window to look outside. We are facing a hill full of trees. It looks so calm and peaceful outside. I wonder if there are any wolves around. As I am about to get dressed, I spot a white blob in between some trees. I can't tell what it is.
"Hey Dane, fancy going for a run tonight. Ox is on edge. He needs a run," I say through the mind link. "Yeah, Bo is the same here. Meet you outside in five minutes." He says.
I just chuck on a pair of sports shorts and no top and head downstairs to the front door, where I find Dane waiting. "A little birdie told me you just fucked Alyssa and then thrown her out of your room. What happened?" He says with a smirk, knowing full well why I did it.
"She was getting on my nerves. I fucked her and then told her to get out. She wasn't getting the picture, but I made her see sense in the end." I say with a sigh. He looks at me smiling, "I am assuming we are going to be hunting for your mate then soon." I don't answer him and take my shorts off and shift into Ox. Both Ox and Bo take over and bound toward the hill.
When we come close, I can smell a scent. It smells like chocolate and roses, my favorite. Where the hell is it coming from? Ox is going crazy. He sniffs the air but doesn't say a word to me as he takes off toward where ever the scent is. It is amazing.
"Where the hell are we going?" Dane asks through the mind link. "I have no clue. Ox won't tell me," I say, which is true, as Ox has completely gone crazy and wants to find out where that smell is coming from.
We come to a complete stop. The scent has gone but I have another smell coming, rotten eggs and death, Rogues and three of them.
"ROGUES, THREE OF THEM," I say through the mind link to Dane. He growls and nods. We run towards where they are. We need to make sure they haven't come onto the pack or near the town. It would be something if they killed someone down there and we get the blame after they agreed to let us come to see them.
We run for a while until we see them, but something catches my eye: white fur. It runs off. I roar loudly as the two rogues turn around, both me and Dane lunge at them and kill them instantly.
Once we knew they were dead, I look over at the third body. Ox sniffs it to see if I can get a scent of who killed him. I didn't hear what they were saying, as they were toying with whatever it was. I shift back into my human form. Ox has gone quiet again. What the hell is up with him?
Dane shifts also in his human form.
"Was that a White Wolf we just saw?" he says, trying to figure out what it was we both witnessed.
I shrugged.
"Whatever it was, it didn't want to be found. And it was really fast." I say, looking around, sniffing the air, but couldn't catch a scent. "It doesn't have a scent," I finally say.
"We need to report these three rogues but what about the White wolf or whatever it was?" Dane asks looking puzzled.
I look at him with the same expression on my face.
"We mention to my father about the rogues but as for the White Wolf, I have never seen one. I thought they were a myth. I think we will keep this between us. We need to keep a closer eye on the town. They might hide a wolf or it could be a normal white dog. We need to keep it between us till we know more." I say, looking at him.
Dane looks at me and nods. "I agree. If we say anything about a white wolf, they probably think we are both crazy. We just need to keep our wits' bout us."
"I agree, we better get back and explain the rogues to my father," I say.
We both shift back into our wolves. Ox is still quiet. "Hey dude, you ok?" I ask him.
"Yeah Nate, we are ok. Just trying to figure out what we saw," he says with a sigh. "It looks like a white wolf, but it had no scent. But there was a scent we both smelled. I was more curious to know where it was as it was so delicious," he says.
I agree with him. "Yeah man, it would have been nice to know what it was," I say, knowing he is trying to figure it out as much as I was.
