MILA

Miles still hasn't come back, or his mate who went after him.

We are all waiting for him.

Nate turns to me. "You okay, love," he asks.

"I'm okay. Are you okay?" I ask, trying to figure out what to say to him.

He smiles at me. "I am. After this meeting, we should get to know each other. What do you think?"

I blush at him as I look at him. My Goddess, he is handsome. "Yes, that would be nice," I say.

He leans into my ear. "You look sexy when you blush," he says in a very sexy way, which makes me blush even more.

He chuckles. "I can't wait to make you do that more," making me even redder.

I notice Dane and Emily looking at us and smirking.

Archer is quiet, and so is that curly blonde woman.

The door opens a few seconds later, and Ella walks in, first and then Miles. He looks like he has been crying. He looks at me and smiles.

"Sorry about that. I had to take a breather," he says as he picks up his chair and places it back in its rightful place, but he doesn't sit back down.

He looks at me. "Mila, can I ask you something?"

I nod at him. "Yes, you can."

Instead of going to take his seat, he moves closer to me and takes out his wallet. He moves closer to me and takes a seat, which is Archers, which I didn't even notice that he had moved out of; he is now standing behind me.

Miles takes out what looks like a photograph.

"I want to show you a photo," he says, handing it to me.

I take the photo and look at it. They look happy. The boy must be Miles, as it looks like him, and the man must have been his father, as he looks exactly like him. There was no denying they belonged together. I turn the photo over and nearly scream. My mother is standing next to the man and Miles in the photograph. She looked younger, but she still had the same features as me.

I don't look up at anyone. A tear slides down my face.

"How? Where? Who?" I don't know what to say. I'm a mess.

I didn't notice Archer touching my shoulder, but Miles spoke. "Mila, do you know who that woman is in my photograph?" I look back at Miles. How is this possible?

I nod at him.

"Who is it, Mila?" he asks with a hint of hope and sadness in his voice.

I look around the room; everyone is staring and waiting for my answer. Nate's hand is on my leg.

"Please tell me, how?" I say quietly to him.

"Tell me, Mila, who do you see?" he asks again calmly.

He takes my hand, and I can feel the connection.

"Mila, tell him it's okay," says Sapphire. She's crying in my head.

I close my eyes. "My mother," I say quietly.

There were loads of gasps around the room.

I notice Luna Sophie standing up straight away and coming over to us. She takes the photo out of my hand. She stares at it. She cries and walks back to Alpha Leon, who is in complete shock when she hands the photo to him.

"How?" He asks.

Miles looks at me and then at them, but back to me. "Mila, that is father and me with my mother in that picture," he says as tears flow down his cheeks freely. "My mum fled before the war on my pack. I had to watch from a hiding spot when all my pack members died. Our grandfather died protecting me. Our father died, also protecting me from another attack weeks before. He made me climb a tree and stay there. I had to watch the rogues shred his body to pieces. I was left alone.

He takes my hand in his. "I didn't know my mother was alive. She left with gamma Richard, who swore to protect her."

"Your mother found out she was pregnant when she came to the town," George quietly said. "She told me she lost her mate, her father, and her son."

Miles smiles at him, but a stern look comes over his face. "I was supposed to be dead. A friend of mine told Dallas that he was me. Dallas ripped out his heart in front of my grandfather. I had to watch it all from my hiding spot."

Tears are flowing from everyone who knows our mother; I have a brother, an older brother I didn't even know about.

"Mum never told me anything about Dad or you," I say quietly. "I sometimes heard her cry herself to sleep but never knew why."

He smiles at me. "I would like to get to know my little sister," he says.

I nod.

I'm in shock, I think. I look towards Nate, who is smiling at me. "Mila, not only do you have a town family and a pack family, but you just found out you have an actual family member," he says. He squeezes my leg, but he moves it to my hand.

This is getting too much. "Mila, calm down. We have family," says Sapphire.

I say nothing but look at the hands holding mine. My mate is holding one, and my older brother is holding the other.
