MILA
A FEW WEEKS LATER
I slowly opened my eyes, trying to adjust to my surroundings, but my head hurt. I moved slowly as I was lying on the ground, but I slowly sat up, my head hurting.
"Stupid warlock," I muttered, but I heard a giggle.
"I told you to watch out," says Sapphire, with a stupid grin as she looks around through my eyes, but she suddenly moves and stands to attention. "Someone is here," she says, sniffing the air. "I can't tell what it is, but it is nearby."
I move slightly to my feet but stagger slightly and grab hold of something. Once I steadied myself, I held on to a pole, what seemed, but then I realized by looking around what was in front of me that I was in a huge cage. I look around, and the cage is huge, but it's massive and really dark in here, especially around the back area. I move to look for a way out, but I can't even find a doorway.
I can't help but sigh. Sapphire is still on pins in my head, pacing back and forth.
We knew it was risky coming here because of Aria, but we needed to find Lucas, but there was still no sign of him.
"Little dove, where are you?" Archer asked suddenly through my head. "We have nearly killed all the vampires and we also caught the warlock kid."
Sapphire giggles, but I grunt. I'm not going to be forgetting him in a hurry.
"Can you come into the building at the back? That little shit knocked me out and put me in a cage," I said. I can sense Archer and Drack laughing in my head. I huff out and look towards the windows, which were blacked out, but I stop short when I see two huge yellow eyes looking back at me, the anger rolling off whatever it was intense.
"Sapphire, please tell me you can see that," I ask through mind link.
She looks through my eyes and stares but growls loudly.
"I masked our scent before we arrived so..." she says, but I gulp as the eyes slowly move towards me.
"I think whatever this is, thinks I'm food," I said, realizing that I must smell human and tasty.
Sensing my mood change through the guardian bond, he asks, "Little dove, what's wrong?" with a hint of worry.
But I can't say a word; I'm frozen to the spot as whatever is behind me comes closer. I can feel its fiery breath on the back of me. It feels hot on my skin, like it could burn me within seconds.
Sapphire completely growling and standing on all paws ready to take charge.
I slowly turn around to see what it is and as my eyes connect with it, they go wide.
There in front of me was the most hideous scaly black beast with bright yellow eyes staring back at me.
A black dragon.
He bares his teeth at me, which are huge...
It moves its head higher where there is light appearing in through the building.
My eyes go wide.
We knew we would find him.
But here, here in front of me, was Lucas.
He is still alive...
But his dragon is in true form; Archer was worried that he would have taken complete control over him. Archer explained to me what Fargo looked like, and the description was top-notch. What the hell did Aria do to him? He is now a magnificent creature, but he is covered in scars and burn marks.
But one thing Archer said was true. Fargo has taken full control. Sapphire and I can't feel Lucas in his dragon form, which is what Archer was worried about. Fargo has a mind of his own, and since he hasn't been with his siblings for a long time, there is no way of knowing what he has been through.
But here he was in front of me, getting ready to eat me...
I close my eyes as I can feel Sapphire coming closer to the surface, coming together as one in human form.
When I open my eyes, our eyes open to show our eyes have turned a different colour at the growling and angry dragon before us.
"Little dove," Archer calls out in my head. "We are on our way. We are close by."
I can't answer him, as both Sapphire and I are ready to show Fargo that you cannot mess with us.
He roars loudly as he draws a breath in, ready to make me barbecue meat, but Sapphire and I can't help but smirk. We have come a long way since we left, and now we can show Fargo how not to piss the white wolf off.
