MILA

I woke up feeling refreshed. My head was lying on something—it felt like a leg. I shot up with a start to a surprised Archer. "You okay, little dove?" he said smoothly.

I nod to him. "All my memories come back, too. It felt like I was in a horror movie," I said, looking at him. He nods his head but looks sad. I know he knows of them as he was there with my mother.

"We need to keep moving. We can have some food for a bit. In about a hundred yards, there is a deer or two eating. We can hunt and kill them," he says while getting to his feet.

I look around. "How do you know that?" I ask.

"Dragons can use their vision to look further away. That's how I kept watching last night," he says while he helps me up to my feet.

We walk toward the deer. It doesn't take too long to sniff them out. Sapphire is ready to go hunting. I strip out of my clothes, not caring about my nakedness in front of Archer. He looks amused. "Shall I wait till you have your fun, Sapphire?" he says with a smirk. Quickly shifting into Sapphire, she walks up to him, presses her snout to his leg, gives him a low growl, and then runs off.

"You need to be swift, little wolf," says Drack through our head.

"Sapphire knows what she is doing," I say a little harshly, which Drack chuckles silently in our heads.

Sapphire composes herself and sneaks up quietly. She pounces on one of the deers, which makes the other one run away. She takes a bite out of its neck and snacks. Archer walks straight up to her. He smiles. "It looks delicious," he says. Drack and I had food while you were sleeping."

Once Sapphire demolishes the deer and cleans herself up. I shift back into my human form. Archer hands me my clothes, which I am happy to have back. We walk toward the pack.

"There is a war coming, little dove, and you are the major source of it," he suddenly says.

I look up at him. "What do you mean?"

"Let's take a seat." He sits on a log as I sit next to him. "This war will determine how powerful you really are. Devon hates other supernatural beings. He forces them if they don't give him their power. He kills them after they give him their power. He has teamed up with the dark warlock named Yariel. George knows him; he was the warlock who sent rogues into their coven to kill all the witch elders and everyone. He killed most of the shifters that are now seeking refuge in the town," he says. "The war will begin once the rogues realize you are alive and we are back together, which will happen soon."

"How am I supposed to stop the war?" I ask.

"Your wolf is white, but you will change quite a bit since you have the dragon heart inside you. Once you harness your full potential, you will change. Your fur is still white, but you have shades of silver running through it. Your eyes might change color, but we will see in time. The powers you had before and the power you have been waiting for have now magnified. Our combined powers will defeat the dark warlock himself and whoever follows him."

I try to absorb all the information I have learned over the last day, but it is too much.

"Archer, Could I meet Drack?" I ask, suddenly remembering feeling his scaly skin as I walked up to him as a child. He was the most magnificent creature. He was huge, and his eyes were white. The scales of his skin were gray, with a hint of blue and silver.

Archer smiles at me. "He has been dying to see you since yesterday," he says with a slight chuckle.

Archer moves into the open space with plenty of room to shift.

All I can see is these amazing, huge scales of blue, grey, and silver form from a thick cloud of blue smoke. He was as big as I remembered him, or even bigger. I looked at him in awe; he was definitely a magnificent creature.

"You look so small, little wolf," Drack says in my head.

I move closer to him and reach for my hand to touch him, but I stop. "May I Drack?" he says in a gruff voice, and he does a slight nod of his head to let me know it is okay. I run my hand over his left leg. He definitely feels the same. I move my hands all over his chest, well, to where I can reach. "Haha, you tickle little wolf," he says gruffly in my head. I can't help but smirk.

"I remember you showing me your true self, Drack. You are amazing," I say to him with a smile on my face.

"He looks like he could eat me," Says Sapphire as she moves closer to check him out. Once she said that I could hear Drack's booming voice laughing in my head.

I am in complete awe of Drack. "Would you like to go for a flying little wolf?"

The thought startled me, but I soon recovered when I heard his voice again. "It is okay, little wolf. I won't eat you, and you will be safe, I promise."

I smile at him and nod as I climb up his arm. He waited patiently as I placed my hand in the crook on the back of his neck. I hold on to one of his horns. "Hold tight, little wolf," he says with a little laugh.

He takes off with a huge flap of both wings and lifts himself into the air. The view is spectacular up here. He takes me into the clouds. We can see the river flowing. All living creatures look small up here, but you knew they were there. The air was much different up in the clouds, a lot fresher. I loved the smell of the forest, but the freshness was amazing. It took my breath away and then I saw the pack house coming up to the view. Drack finds a big clearing and lands in the middle a few miles away, but you can see the borderline of their territory. We are only a few yards out, I would say. It is getting late. I know everyone is waiting for us to return. As I slide down Drack's arm, I look between the trees.

I don't want to go back just yet.

Archer has shifted back into his human form and is standing behind me. "Why can't I hear you, Archer, when Drack was in his true form?" I ask.

He lets out a groan. "Drack wanted some time with you, so he made me quiet, but we can talk through our minds too if you like."

He takes a few steps, but I don't move. I watch him.

"Can we stay here for the night and leave first thing in the morning?" I asked him through the mind link to see if it works.

He smiles. "Yes, if you like, but please tell me why you don't want to return right now," he says.

I like this. I smiled but suddenly remembered the last time I was here and what had happened. I felt nervous and sick.

"Everyone has lied to me or even hurt me. I don't know what to think or do." I say, thinking about George and Emily, but mainly Nate.

Archer looks at me. "Your mate was a fool to let his dick take over him," he says while rolling his eyes. "But I think he might change if you let him," he smiles down at me.

"I don't know if I can. Sapphire and I have to think about it," I say, turning to face the pack house. Archer does the same, but he is quiet for a moment.

"You have the choice of accepting him or not. You are the Moon Goddess creation, Mila. You can decide," he says, posing for a moment. "I can tell you he is looking out the window and staring in this direction as we speak."

I gasped and looked at him, but he was smiling. "My long sight from my dragon is very good at seeing what lies before us, little dove. Remember, your friend Emily and a boy are holding hands entering the house. Wow, George looks old," he says suddenly, and I laugh out loud.

He smirks down at me. "We will wait here. How do you feel about climbing a tree to sleep?" he asks, looking up at the tree beside us.

I nod, knowing I can have one night to think about things.
