MILA
We have been traveling for a good few hours now. We even took a bus here and then flew on Drack to the abandoned airport. A small private jet landed once Archer shifted back into his human form.
Archer has many friends around the world who will help him when he needs it; I just hope none of them work with the crazy people who are after me. We made an agreement to keep me safe by not revealing that I'm White Wolf to anyone, but he trusted the man on the phone and shared the information with him.
When we came into view by the plane, a man called Luke greeted us.
Once we are seated, the captain discusses taking off with Luke.
I lean back in my seat as Sapphire notices he is a bear shifter. But Archer explained he helped him out of a situation a few years ago, and they have been friends ever since.
Luke comes back to us and smiles. "We will take off and land in Poland soon. Are you sure that's where you need to go?" he asks Archer with a questioning look. I look between them. Archer nods. "It's where we need to go for now," he sighs and looks at me and smiles. You need to rest, little dove. Sleep is well needed as we have a few hours to go yet."
I look back at him; I'm too excited to sleep. This is my first time on a plane, let alone flying in one. I shake my head. "Nope, this is my first time on a plane. I want to know what it is like, besides I probably will sleep later on during the flight."
Both men smile at me. "You should enjoy it, my dear," says Luke, and he turns to look at Archer. "How long are you staying there?"
I wondered the same thing, but I wanted to look out the window.
"I think this is going to be cool," says Sapphire, coming closer to take a peek out the window. I giggle. "You are staying put this time, or will you go in the back and hide again?"
Sapphire was happy to fly Drack, but it soon got too much for her. She wanted off and even threatened to kill him. I had to push her into the back of my mind, and I had to put up a block so she couldn't get through. I only put it down when we landed.
"Nope, this might be fun," she says, but I can feel she's hesitant slightly.
"Look, I will block your view when we take off, but once we are settled in the air, I will remove the block so you can look out the window," I said, and she nodded in agreement. She goes into the back of my mind, and I put a block up. I look up to see Archer smile at me. "I'm glad you suggested that to Sapphire. I won't want to get hurt if she comes to the surface."
I can't help but laugh. "I hardly think she could do that with you, especially when she tried to bite Drack when we landed the first time."
He chuckles, and so does Luke. "Your wolf tried to bite Drack. That would have been too funny to see."
I look at him. I know he is joking, but I hate it when people misunderstand Sapphire. We are one, but I know she can take on anyone if she puts her mind to it.
"She can take us, little dove," says Drack with a smile. "She is a feisty wolf."
I can't help but giggle more.
We move. I soon realized that I disliked this part. Taking off, I held onto Archer's hand tightly. I even drew blood from him. He hissed in pain but smiled once we were up in the air as I let go.
I look out of the window as Luke hands us some drinks. "I have no staff on board because of your request, Archer, so you can serve yourselves with whatever you want," he says, and we both nod.
Archer pushes his seat back, and I continue looking out through the window. It is amazing to look down at the clouds. We're flying. I put the block down on Sapphire, and I know she is sitting closer, looking through my eyes to see out of the window. "Wow, this is so cool," she says, wagging her tail. I smile, knowing she's happy. She settles down with her front paws in front while looking through my eyes.
"I wonder how our mate is doing," she says with a hint of sadness. I say nothing even though I've thought the same thing as her.
"He will be fine with everyone there. I'm praying there were not too many casualties after the war," I say.
She nods. "I worry about that. I wonder if we could find a way of knowing somehow," she says.
I look back at Archer, who looks at me with white eyes, which startles me slightly.
"He is talking to someone," says Sapphire, sitting up straight and looking at him in awe as if he had never done this in front of us before.
Archer comes back, and a tear slips down his eye. "Anna and Nate are safe. She was happy to see me, but it seems your Moon Goddess came to your mate after the war and explained that we needed to go. Everyone is well and safe. Nate killed Devon with the help of Dane, Emily, and Miles," he smirked but continued. "Emily killed Yariel, but they discovered that George was never on our side before the war. He was on their side. Anna told me the story about what happened to Emily and her mum. It is really sad," he says.
I look back at him.
"Tell me what happened," I ask him.
