NATHANIEL

I stood a doorway away till I heard her lock the door.

I have fucked up badly here.

I sigh and take my leave towards the office door. I open it to find my dad sitting in his office chair with my mum, Dane, Emily, and Beta Michael.

They all look at me.

I head to the couch by the window.

My father glares at Emily, who has her head down, but it is hard to tell what is happening with her. Dane is holding her hand and saying things to her.

EMILY

When I went to the cell, my parents were holding each other. They both looked up at me. "You need to tell me what the hell is going on," I ask. I am sick of all this not knowing.

They quickly look at each other and then back at me. "I haven't got time for this. Alpha Leon will take me to his office and will ask questions."

My father gets up and walks to the metal wall, and blows gold dust in my face. I stumble back. "She will remember everything when you get back to the office," he says towards Dane, who I know is by my side.

I close my eyes, and it feels like a movie playing back to me.

The movie contains everything I know about Mila. Mila and myself. I can feel all the emotions of everything flooding into my body. I scream out through all the pain and the sadness.

Somehow I am being carried back towards the pack house, as I can feel the night air on my skin. I know it's Dane that is holding me. "Baby, please talk to me." My eyes fly open, and I stare back at him. He has the most gorgeous brown eyes I have ever seen.

"What did your father do to you?" He asks as he stops, and I place my feet back on the ground. I look at him. "He has been taking away my memories and Mila's. We need to talk to your alpha. I know some parts, but not all," I tell him.

When we walked into the pack house and towards the office, "Nate finally told Alyssa about Mila being his mate," I looked at him, but he opened the door and led me inside, where we found Alpha Leon, Luna Sophie, and Beta Michael standing there. We take a seat in front of them.

My mind goes fuzzy again, and I am reliving more memories. They are flooding in and out, some happy memories, some awful, and some shocking.

I hear the door go, and I can tell it's Nathaniel. I am trying to control everything around me. I can feel Dane holding my hand. "Love, you need to tell them everything," he whispers to me.

"You need to explain what the hell is going on here, and I mean now?" snarls Alpha Leon.

I look up, and I can feel my magic rise. My eyes fly open, and I know they are purple. Everyone is stunned. I control my breathing before I speak.

"I will tell you everything you want to know, but I will tell you one thing: you will not interrupt me. I lost my memories because of my father, and when I just visited before coming here, he gave them back to me. I have to relive everything that happened over the years for Mila and me," I say, and I can feel my magic subsiding and my eyes returning to my green eyes.

"Why would your father take your memories away?" Asks Alpha Leon. I look at him.

"He did it to protect us, or more like Mila," I say. "You see... Mila isn't my actual sister. My father found her wandering in the forest. He brought her inside through the front door, covered in blood. I can't remember the details, but I remember that. She was only five years old. My dad had to give her a sleeping potion as she was crying and screaming too much. As my father carried her through the front door, Mila had blood all over her, but he said that it wasn't either his or her blood. I was six at the time, and my mum sent me to bed while my father put Mila in the spare room next to mine. I heard a little after that until Mila started screaming in her sleep. I woke up, and she was staring at me. The look on her face made me want to protect her, so I climbed into bed with her and lay with her. I told her I would be her friend." Everyone's emotions were full of sadness and confusion all the time I was talking. I carried on while still holding Dane's hand.
