NATHANIEL

She felt everything.

I caused all her pain.

I should have stopped.

The looks I am having of everyone are full of anger and disappointment. I close my eyes, knowing what may come. I knew what I was doing with Alyssa had to end, but I was acting with my dick as per usual.

"You are an idiot!" shouts Dane, who moves away from the office door, the door Emily walked out of. Dane shouts, "You are an idiot!" as he moves away from the office door, the same door Emily walked out of.

"Beta Dane, she will want him. She is his mate. We need to get her to change her mind. We will have Alyssa moved to another pack. You will fight for her," yells my father.

I look at him.

"I will try to win her back, father. But I will not force her to," I snarl.

"You don't get it. The white wolf is the most powerful in the world. She would make us more powerful than any pack out there, and we would be unstoppable," he snarled back.

"Is that all you care about dear is power, you heard what Emily said, Mila has never liked wolves and with what that child has been through, you are a foolish old man," says a small but fierce voice, my mother, walking through the door. I look at her, and she is glaring at him, but she turns to me with the same expression. "And you, son, we warned you to stop all that crap with Alyssa. We told you she was bad news. I bet she never told you I asked her to fight alongside me, but I also asked her to locate Sam and Simon to ensure their safety in the bunker. Do you know what that slut did? She never located either of the boys. She went into the bunker. She left them. I had one omega tell me she said she was your Luna and didn't have to fight."

My anger is boiling to the surface. She did what. That power-hungry slut put my brother and his friend in danger. She is not fit to be by my side.

"Mila and Emily saved them. They protected the boys," says Dane, looking over at my mother. "They make one hell of a team, considering Mila never shifted into her wolf."

That's right, Mila saved them. Sam was telling me. How could I be so stupid?

"Why are you hell-bent on having her here?" says my mother towards my father, who stared blankly at us. "I will not allow you to make her stay. She needs to make her own mind."

My father sighs and looks at my mother. "I thought keeping her here would make our pack strong..." Before he continued, my mother cut him off. "Leon, she is a child. She has no one. We need to let her decide. I don't think either Mila or Emily could decide anything, especially when they both didn't have their memories."

My father looks at her, his facial expression changing to love towards her. "My darling, I will let her choose. How did you know her memories were gone?"

We all looked at her, her eyes glazing over. "When I took Sam out of the office, Mila listened outside. I think she found most parts shocking. Sam held her hand and hugged her, but she looked at me. I know their eyes so well. She told me George must have some dust for Emily to have remembered. My gaze shifted towards Leon as I looked at her. I mean, seriously lost. They don't know who or where they belong. But Sam, being Sam, took a trip to the cells and asked George if he could help Mila." My father glares. "HE DID WHAT?" he booms.

My mother looks at him but shakes her head. "He wanted to help his friend, his protector. He said that George handed him the gold at dusk, but he told him to tell you he must talk to us all and Mila together before midnight. That he can explain what was really going on," she looks at my father. "I think Faith said something but used a blood oath pact on him. He can't tell anyone, not even the person he has to tell. No one, you heard what he said."
