NATHANIEL

We headed back to the pack house and shifted back into our human forms.

My father was outside, waiting for us. "Where have you been?" He asks.

"We went for a run as our wolves needed it, but we ran into three rogues. We killed them." I said and looked up at him once I shifted back, pulling my sports shorts on.

"I think I will notify the mayor of the town and see if we can proceed with us visiting the town sooner. I would like to make sure that there are no wolves there, and also make sure they know they can have our protection," he says. I nod at him. "I agree, all supernaturals have been going through a lot, especially with all the rogues that keep coming by. We just need to know what they are looking for? We can form an alliance with the town if they need help. All they have to do is contact us and we can help," I suggest to him.

When I look back at my father, he has the biggest smile on his face. "That's what I like to see, you taking an interest in the pack's business," he says while pulling me into a man hug.

Dane laughs as I try to get out of my father's grip. "Dad, I'm eighteen now. Come on," I say, but can't help but laugh.

He lets me go and turns to head in. I walked behind him but turned around to look towards the hill. Did we see a white wolf? There has never been a white wolf sighting ever.

Suddenly remembering what I said to Dane about finding my mate, "Oh Dad, once we form an alliance with the town and we find out what the hell the rogues are doing all the way out here. I want to look for my mate. If she is not in the town, I will travel to find her," I say.

My dad stops suddenly and turns around to look at me with a cheerful expression on his face. "Really, son, you want to do that? What about Alyssa?" He asks, trying to question my motives.

"I thought about what you, Mum, and Beta Michael said for the last few weeks. I need to find my mate. It's not healthy. Plus, Alyssa won't make the best Luna for us. She is all about power and status of what rank we all are," I say. "I kicked her out of my room and told her not to come back," I hope he believes me. I look at him and he is staring at me.

"I believe you, but I would keep her away from you. If your mate finds out, there might be a war or rejection coming your way, if she hates the idea of other women being around her mate," he says, but he stops and contemplates something. "I would keep a close eye on her parents too, as they seem to want to move into the pack house," he says and turns back to head back to his room.

"You need some sleep, I will email the mayor of the town and tell them we will visit them, I think you, Dane, and Eric should go," he says looking back at me with a smile on his face "It will make me proud to see you take an interest in this son." He opens his door and walks in.

I am standing at the foot of the stairs. Dane next to me, who hasn't said a word to me, turns me around. "Dude, we need to look around that town, hopefully in the next few days," he says.

I nod. "Yeah, hopefully, we can get some answers and find out what's been going on."

I walk up the flight of stairs and went to my room. Danes' room is below mine.

I walk in and climb into bed. I could feel Ox sleeping soundly in my head. He seems content tonight. I soon let sleep take over.
