MILA

As we get closer, I can see George, the man who looked after me my whole life. He seemed to have aged more lately. His black short hair and green eyes turn bright as he sees us. I can't help but run towards him and into his outstretched arms. His mint scent hitting nose as soon as I'm in his hold.

"Mila, you are safe," he sighs and looks towards Archer with a big smile. And you, my old friend, you haven't aged a day."

"Hello too, old friend; I must admit, you have aged a lot," they both start laughing. I let go of George, and both men hugged each other. I look behind George to see Sybil, Alpha Leon, and Luna Sophie looking on with smiles. I ran up to Sybil and hugged her. Her lavender smell is still refreshing as the day I meet her, calming my nerves. She smiles. "Mila, I am so happy you are back," she says, smiling and kissing me on the cheek.

I smile back and turn towards Alpha Leon and Luna Sophie. "I'm sorry for running away like that. I didn't know what was happening to me. I want to introduce you to Archer, my guardian," I say, turning towards Archer and George. Sybil joined in the hugs as she left Archer's embrace. Archer smiles at them. "It's an honor to meet you, Alpha and Luna."

I turn and look at Luna, who is staring at me. "I have my memories back," I say to her. "I remember my mother, Faith. She used to talk about you, Luna, all the time."

She looks at me and smiles as a tear slides down her face. "That's good, my dear. I'm so happy that we now all know the truth."

I looked towards the pack house and then around, wondering where Emily and Dane were, but more importantly, my mate. Archer and George look at me, grinning. "He has gone to get some members from another pack with Emily and Dane," George says with a smirk.

I looked at him and blushed, but I said nothing. I can feel everyone looking at me. I bet their faces say a lot.

"They are amused but happy we want to see our mate," says Sapphire, standing to attention in my mind. "I'm on the lookout for Mila. I will tell you when he comes."

"Let's get back to the pack house. A few members would like to see you, Mila," says Alpha Leon with a warm smile.

We all walk together. I'm walking alongside Alpha Leon while the others are talking to Archer behind. "Mila, I want to apologize for my behavior when you come here," says Alpha Leon.

I looked up at him and wondered what he was on about. He's an Alpha. He shouldn't be apologizing to me.

"He apologizes for being power-hungry and wants you to help his pack. His wolf just apologized to me, too. He said his mate told him he would win us back himself, but it is our choice, not anyone else's," Sapphire says, smiling.

"Thank you, Alpha Leon, it's okay," I smile, knowing how hard it is for an Alpha to apologize to anyone.

He smiles and walks on.

Suddenly, someone is calling my name. "Mila, Mila!" I see Sam running toward me, with Margo, Barry, and Gerald following behind.

Sam runs straight into me, giving me a big hug. "I'm so happy you are back," he says. I smile. "It's good to be back."

He doesn't let me go, but he looks up. "Your wolf is big and beautiful, but she is totally different with different-colored eyes," I look at him, confused, until I hear Archer in my head. When you shifted to meet me, our combined power made your eyes change when we called out to you."

I looked at him in shock but recovered quickly. "Thank you, Sam. My wolf is the best. Sapphire is her name."

"Well, she is pretty and strong," he says, still holding onto me, making sure I never leave.

"He is a sweet pup," says Sapphire, feeling the love from Sam.

I say hello and greet a few other members. I even get introduced to a few pack members. Suddenly, five big cars come into view. They all park up; Emily opens the door and runs straight to me, running straight into my arms. She has happy tears. "I've missed you, sister," she says shaky. In a whisper, she says, "You should give him a chance. He has been lost without you."

I know instantly who she is talking about. His intoxicating scent is powerful, sending shivers down my spine.

I look up and let go of Emily. I walk toward Nate. There is only a foot between us when we get closer to one another. I can see him fighting with himself. I look at him closely, his slick black hair and their gorgeous blue eyes staring at me. His mouth looks so good. I want to kiss him so badly, hang on, and I shouldn't be thinking like this.

I can hear giggling in my head.

Before I can say anything, Nate speaks, "Mila, I'm sorry for everything I put you through. I wouldn't have done anything to hurt you if I knew you were my mate." There were a few gasps, but he carried on. "I fell for you the moment I set my eyes on you. I wanted you to know that. I want to know everything about everything and make it up to you, and I hope you will let me."

I look up at him. "Nate, you hurt me, but I have been thinking about us, you, but I had some advice from someone." I turn to see Archer standing next to me, and I can't help but smile at him, but I turn back to Nate. "People have pasts, and they have to learn from them, but it is what we plan for the future that is important and who I want in my future."

"Who do you want in your future, Mila?" he asks as he closes the extra step closer to me. There is no space between us now. I stare up at him, and I can't help but look up. He holds my hands in his, and I can feel the sparks of the bond between us ignite. I can't help but blush, and I take a gulp as he carries. "Mila, please answer me," he asks with a sexy, husky tone.

I look around and soon realize that we are being surrounded by a crowd of people who are looking at us in awe. Some are in shock that we have admitted that we are mates, and some, I can feel, are happy for us. I blush hard.

I don't want anyone to hear this, so I go onto my tiptoes and whisper in his ear. I can't help but breathe on his cheek. He smells so good. I can feel the wet between my legs. "I want to forgive you, I want you," I whisper. I move my head slowly. He kisses my cheek as I go back. I can't help but go red.

Sapphire is happy; I can feel her in my head. "Mate is happy. His wolf is excited. He wants to mate us," she says, smirking.

"Ahh, too much information, Sapphire. We are taking it slow, okay?" I say.

She is laughing in my head. "I know Mila, I want our mate too. His wolf is a horny dog."

I can't help but go even redder, but feeling a little more confident, I take his hand in mine. The sparks are so intense between us that it is making it harder for me to concentrate, but I remember and sense Archer is still by me. I turn to him, who has the biggest grin on his face. "This is Archer, my guardian," I say with a big smile on my face. Archer is this Nathaniel, my mate."

Archer stretches out his hand to shake Nate's hand. Nate seems happy and smiles back at him. "I think we should go into the pack house," he says.

We all turn and walk.

A group of people is standing on top of the steps with Alpha Leon and Luna Sophie, but someone has his back to us as we walk towards the pack house.

"Ah, we are all here, Miles. I would like you to meet Mila and Archer. You already met my son, Nathaniel," says Alpha Leon, looking at us with a big smile. I think he realizes that I'm giving Nathaniel a chance.

The man turns around and smiles, but his expression quickly changes to shock as he looks at me. I look at him in confusion. What the hell is his problem? He's frozen to the spot and not moving.

"Miles, are you okay?" says a young woman holding his hand, looking concerned.

Suddenly, like he remembered where he was, he stuck out his hand to shake mine. "Nice to meet you. I have to ask, have we met before? You seem familiar to me."

I shake my head. "Nice to meet you too; no, I've lived here all my life," giving him a pleasant smile and trying to figure out his problem.

"Well, let's all go inside and into the office. We can all discuss the plan for this war we are supposed to be having?" says Alpha Leon.

We all turn around and head in. Miles is still staring at me, and I feel uncomfortable. Nate looks at me, holds my hand tight, and leads me in.
