Hallie bounded down the dorm room stairs eagerly, quickly rushing forward into the common room.
Sirius sat on the sofa situated in the far corner of the room, a cigarette firmly planted between his two lips. His eyes danced unwaveringly over the flames behind the grate, only taking a second to tear his eyes away to look at the blonde who had appeared rather ungracefully at the bottom of the dorm room stairs.
"Thought an elephant was coming from your dorm with the amount of noise you just made," Sirius smirked, taking in the panting girl humorously.
"Ha, you're so funny," Hallie mocked with a roll of her eyes, before making her way over to the sofa. She was quick to lean over his shoulder, snatching the cigarette rapidly from his fingers. She placed it to her mouth, taking her time to inhale deeply.
All the while, Sirius had his eyes trained on the side of her face, taking in the softness of each of her features in turn.
"Quit your staring loverboy," Hallie teased, blowing the smoke over his face.
Sirius was quick to tear his eyes away, shaking his head with a small laugh. "You know Hallie, stealing a man's cigarette is rather rude." Sirius quickly snatched it back, letting himself deeply inhale the fumes.
Hallie sat herself down beside him, looking up innocently. "You? A man?"
"Shut up you tosser," Sirius mumbled, causing Hallie to giggle quietly, taking in the deserted common room all at once. Hallie was quick to grab Sirius' free hand, pulling him rather abruptly to his feet.
"Come outside with me," she begged, tugging on Sirius' hand in the process. Sirius looked down at their intertwined fingers affectionately, completely lost in his own thoughts. Once he finally looked back up, he noticed the girl was stood, eagerly awaiting his answer.
"Errr why?"
Hallie rolled her eyes humorously, pulling his body closer to her own. Sirius soon found himself lost in the blue of her eye, as she looked up at him expectantly.
"Cause i'm bored Sirius," Hallie wavered, swinging her arms casually between the two. "You told me I am strictly forbidden to leave this tower without you. So now, i'm demanding you to come."
Sirius sighed, shaking his head in recollection. "I did say that, didn't I?"
Hallie nodded softly, tugging on his hand once more. "Now c'mon," she whined, quickly making her way across to the portrait hole. "I'm super bored. It's an actual nightmare!"
"Okay, okay blondie," Sirius teased, slinging a gentle arm over the blonde's shoulder. "Calm your tits."
"Don't tell me to calm my tits," Hallie exclaimed, pushing his arm roughly off of her shoulder. "More like calm your dick."
Sirius looked down, groaning incoherently under his breath. "Every fucking time," he mumbled, watching the girl in front of him who was grinning vivaciously. "Shut up Hallie."
"I didn't say anything," the girl replied innocently, standing in the frame of the portrait hole. "Now, we could wait for you to calm down Snuffles, but we really don't have time for that. So are you coming?"

Sirius followed Hallie reluctantly out of the castle and into the tepid autumnal weather. He was quick to shove his hands into the safety of his coat pockets, watching in concern at the girl walking paces in front, wearing only a thin top to shield her from the cold.
In the heart of the season, the fallen leaves blanketed the floor, painting the ground in fiery hues of gold, crimson and ocher oranges. The black lake seemed close to freezing over; the only movements of the lake was from the melancholy whistle of the wind that rippled at its surface.
