(A/N: This would be the OP for the Black Star arc which funny enough has the name "star" in the title to make it sound fitting. Plus, yeah, Bleach OPs are actually decent for the tone of this story.)

Shinagawa Ward, Tokyo, Japan

Two days after the Death Hacker arc

4:56 AM

3rd person POV

Shino: I guess that makes six murders now.

The police sirens were blurring as a squad of law enforcement just arrived as they already set up the crime scene of a murder.

Asada Shino and her squad have started investigating the situation.

Officer: For the love of God. This is the 6th woman that's died in just a week.

Shino: We've already patrolled the entire ward for a week now and we still couldn't find any traces of this murderer.

Officer: Should we just call the chief and bring in more forces to patrol the place Asada-san?

Shino: I wish but Chief Yagami said that we don't have a lot of forces to use. We're all that's left as of now.

Officer: Fuck!

Shino: Language sir.

Officer: Sorry, it's just that things have been so messed up lately. Seriously, did you just see on the news what just happened two days ago?!

Shino: I know. I'm starting to think that these terrorists aren't pulling any punches, and this is just giving the lesser criminals to have more confidence in causing even more trouble than there already is.

Just then, Shino got a call from her radio.

Shino: Excuse me.

She then walks away for a bit before replying to the radio.

Shino: Chief Yagami sir! What is it?

Soichiro: We have a new problem Asada.

Shino: What do you mean? I'm in the middle of an investigation here sir.

Soichiro: I know that, but I think it seems that one of our other men that's been patrolling the area found a breakthrough in this case.

Shino: A breakthrough you say??

Soichiro: That's right. We have an eyewitness who believed that they found the murderer.

Shino: Really!?

Soichiro: I was skeptical if the information itself could be a mere hoax but no it wasn't. In fact, this eyewitness even managed to provide us a photo. It's not much given that their faces are on the side and it's a little difficult to figure out since they are at a distance. Here, I'll send it to your phone. This photo is taken around the same area that you are all patrolling in.

Shino grabs her phone as a photo was sent to her.

It was a picture of an alleyway with a person standing in the middle from a distance.

A male.

Shino quickly zooms in on the picture with the man in the middle.

She couldn't make out too much, but it was a man.

He was goodlooking with blonde hair but with something strange in one eye on the side.

She couldn't make it out too much, but Shino could tell that it was a shape of a star.
