*Flashback*
An unknown time in the past
3rd person POV
A man with turquoise hair was walking in a dark alley.
He had a cigarette on his mouth.
That man is none other than Yamazaki Aoto.
After he took a smoke.
He threw puts the cigarette down and stomps on it.
As he does so.
A tall, thin man with silver long hair was wearing a black trench coat and a black fedora shows up.
???: Did you manage to complete your mission?
Aoto: Of course, sir. I killed the manager as you instructed.
???: Good.
The silver-haired man then passes by him as he continues to speak.
???: Are you growing bored?
Aoto: Hmm?
This caught Yamazaki by surprise as he asked.
Aoto: Bored of what?
The man replied with:
???: Don't hide it. You're clearly not enjoying this job.
Aoto: I don't know what you're talking about.
???: Your attitude isn't in the right place. I've heard from Vermouth that you've haven't been following orders consistently despite being able to accomplish your missions effectively. Even the boss is weary of this...sudden rebellious nature of yours.
Aoto: Like hell if I care what the boss thinks.
???: Excuse me? You better watch your mouth.
Aoto: It's funny huh?
???: Hmm?
Aoto: I've been working for you guys for 5 years now and yet...I don't feel...satisfied per say.
The man with the silver hair is puzzled by Yamazaki's words.
Aoto: You wouldn't understand sir. At least on the surface level.
???: Whatever. You may go.
Aoto: Already? No scolding or a punishment?
???: Your skills are clearly valuable to our organization. However, your disobedience is going on notice. I'm going to give you a warning this time.
Aoto: That's fine. As long as I still get paid and kill people for fun. I'll try not to disobey any more orders from you or the boss.
???: We'll see. I want you to prove it now.
Aoto: Already?
???: I have another assignment to give you. Make sure you follow what I say this time, Umeshu.
(A/N: If you're not too aware. Umeshu is a Japanese liquor that is made from macerating sugar and ume plums. Basically, it's Japanese plum liquor. Now I know you have a lot of questions to why this mysterious guy called him with a name that's after a Japanese liquor but...well that's already a hint on itself.)
*Flashback over*
Yamazaki POV
I've worked with an organization before Haru-sama himself and as a double agent for the Port Mafia.
It's weird why I'm reminiscing this now.
Well, I suppose it's because what I'm doing now is similar to what I did in my previous organization.
