Haru POV

People...

How foolish and gullible they all are.

It's like humanity only exists to become puppets to those who have a higher level of understanding of reality.

It's hilarious to me that humans are the most dominant species of this planet, and yet they cling to primitive ideals and allowing themselves to be controlled by others as if their destinies are preordained.

It's funny, don't you think?

The person whom I considered "my friend" is but a mere tool to me despite how nearly similar we are in personality.

It would be a waste to dispose such a useful tool.

She still has her use since she serves as my ticket to using her father if needed so that I can gain more government information...and for ransom.

It's only a matter of time that things are about to reach a boiling point.

I've provoked each side up to now. Apocalypse, the White Room, Port Mafia.

They'll play into my hands.

I'll wipe all of them off the face of the earth.

This is survival of the fittest.

Only the strong will win.

I'll be the one that's left standing by the time this is all over.

3rd person POV

Haru hears Reiko's voice once again on his communicator.

Reiko: I've arrived at the meeting place.

Haru: Good. Wait for my signal.

11:00 AM

At a commercial building that has about seven floors.

More specifically on the fifth floor where there is a nearby cafe.

Mrs. Yukinoshita and Yukino were already there.

As well as Shiba Katsunori who once came to ANHS with Tsukishiro along with the 5th generation students who were tasked to expel Ayanokouji.

Shiba is still part of the White Room as its instructor.

Here, he's tasked to meet with the Yukinoshita family for an offer.

Though before that, a certain woman has yet to arrive.

Mrs. Yukinoshita: *Sigh* Where's Haruno? She's never usually this late.

Yukino: We're only 20 seconds past 11. Nee-san will show up.

Shiba: I hope so. Even though the father isn't here to join us due to his busy government work. I'll have to settle with the three of you.

Mrs. Yukinoshita: You know, it's been a while Shiba-san. The last time we talked. You told me to recommend Yukino to transfer to ANHS.

Shiba: I did.

Mrs. Yukinoshita: I've always wondered why someone like you would do that?

Shiba: Did you already forget? Ayanokouji-sensei was the one who sent me for this recommendation.
