Inside of a call center-like area.
A woman was typing on a keyboard while looking at several monitors.
???: *Sigh* Thank God that it's my day off today. I don't even know how I can keep this up.
The woman was clearly bored but at the same time, showing a bit of hard work as she was looking at news articles, forums, and other websites.
???: Never thought I'd be in this position. This is genuinely more tiring than my actual job! Ughh...but it is part of what he wants me to do. He says there's been conspiracies revolving around some politicians. I knew that Kijima would be one of them though it is interesting that it also involved the current prime minister himself. Hmph! I'm no expert in conspiracies but given that he forced me to look into these. I really have gotten my way around. Hmm?
She then noticed an article that she found.
???: What's this?
She clicked on that website which led to said article.
???: Hmm?
The article that was shown was rumors about the government.
In particular, it was about a growing conspiracy about the government having ties to terrorist groups and unethical experiments on children.
???: Unethical experiments? That sounds familiar. Terrorist groups being connected to the government, that's nothing new. I think Daigo mentioned it before.
Just then, the phone on her pocket began to ring.
She looked at it and the one calling her is a familiar name.
Yukino.
She immediately replied to the call.
???: Hey. You know it's quite rare of you to call me like this.
Yukino: Don't get used to it.
???: Don't you have classes or something?
Yukino: We were dismissed early due to the professor having some sort of emergency.
???: Lucky you.
Yukino: What are you doing at the moment?
???: Cut the pep talk. Come on, I know you're calling me for a reason. You didn't just call me to check if I'm okay. That wouldn't be like you now, would it?
Yukino: *Sigh* Fine. You know the guy that I talked about who convinced our mother to enroll me to ANHS?
???: Ohh him. What was his name again?
Yukino: Shiba Katsunori I believe.
???: I see, what's that got to do with anything?
Yukino: Well...he paid me a visit while I was out and about in the university grounds.
???: What?
The woman was surprised that a figure like that was visiting Yukino at her university.
A figure who is an instructor of the White Room of all people.
Yukino: Is something wrong?
???: What did he want from you?
Yukino: Nothing much, he told me to talk to my mother about a deal of sorts later.
???: A deal?
Yukino: I don't know what it is, but he said he wants to meet me, our mother, and you a little later.
