*Flashback*
One year ago
At an undisclosed location
3rd person POV
Nana: You do realize what you are asking for, right?
Fyodor: And yet you agreed to meeting with me and even going as far as to say that you were willing to listen to my words.
Hiiragi Nana was in the middle of a conversation with Fyodor himself.
While Nana is still in the process of figuring out what's going on, Fyodor continued.
Fyodor: You and I both despise the same thing. Isn't that correct?
Nana: That is true...but what you're making me do...I'm no better than the government if I join you people.
Fyodor: You're wrong.
Nana: Hmm?
Fyodor: What I'm doing here is for the greater good of humanity. Wasn't that the goal that your superiors from the government told you? To deal with the enemies of humanity?
Nana: They did...
Fyodor: While you believe that the enemies of humanity would be criminals like me. In reality...the only true enemy of humanity isn't us...but the government itself.
Nana: What makes you say that?
Fyodor: Think about it...do you really believe what they're doing is fair?
Nana: Of course, not...but I had no choice but to work for them. They told me that terrorists were the ones who killed my family.
Fyodor: Is that what you believe?
Nana: Huh?!
Fyodor: You couldn't be more far from the truth. Do you not realize that you were living in a lie this entire time?
Nana: A lie?
Fyodor: That's right.
Nana: Tell me...what do you know!?
Fyodor: If you want to know the truth...you must join me. Pledge yourself to Apocalypse and I will help you deal with the people who manipulated you.
Nana: What are you talking about?
Fyodor: You should be well aware that society isn't as clear cut as most people would see. They may be either blind or stupid to the truth all around them but that's not usually the case. The people in this society knows that the government is corrupt. That they only care about themselves rather than the good of others. Besides, don't you want to stop it? Do you not want to stop the oppression of the government?
Nana: I do...but...do you expect me to work with terrorists? Let alone someone of your reputation?
Fyodor: Yes...that was the same thing that the others have said to me before. But like I said before, what I'm doing is for humanity's sake. I promise, you will understand soon enough once you join me. It's a matter of you willing to join my cause. What we do may be questionable...but your methods aren't far from mine nor the rest of the members in my organization are capable of. I heard you were extremely brutal when it comes to interrogations. That person must've been ruthless if you were thought to be so.
Nana: Yeah...ruthless indeed.
Her tone was somber, but Fyodor heed no mind to that as circled around Nana.
Fyodor: Do you know why?
Nana: Why?
Fyodor: Hehe! You'll know what I mean. If you choose to decline. I wouldn't mind...but you'll never know the truth about your parents' deaths. Are you willing to live your life not knowing what really happened? Do you really want to live in oblivious despair for the rest of your life?
