At an undisclosed location

3rd person POV

Kurumi, Hajime and Chiaki arrive at a new room within the facility. The room is slightly bigger than the others previously.

As they got inside the room. They noticed a pungent smell just below them and the trio began to realize what it is as they looked below.

Below the narrow platform they are now standing on was a pool of green acid. Its repugnant smell started blasting through the nostrils of the group that they have to cover their noses.

Hajime: Ughhh! What's that smell!?

He said with such disgust that Chiaki agreed.

Chiaki: Yeah, the smell is quite unbearable. What is that below us?

Kurumi: I'm not sure...but it could be some kind of chemical mixture or something. There's no way this could be just any disgusting liquid.

Though other than the liquid, the platform they are on leads to a large cage that's hanging from the ceiling with chains. Behind the cage though is another metal door which is exit along with a narrow platform leading to the door.

Kurumi: I have a bad feeling about this.

Just then, from behind the group. A large screen shows itself as Kokichi once more appears.

Kokichi: Welcome!! It seems that you three made it to the next challenge. Well done. To be honest. I was expecting you guys to do well on the first few games. However, in this game. You won't just be relying on yourselves...but also the rest of your fellow players as well.

Kurumi: What do you mean by that?

Kokichi: Remember when I mentioned about the cellphone rule? Guess what, in this game...well games since while you guys have separate games. All of you need to work together so that every one of you can escape their respective rooms. It's a little complicated but let's just say that it's an interconnected puzzle of sorts. You'll understand once you start calling each other through your phones. You do have numbers on your little friends, right?

Kurumi: So, what's the game now, Ouma?

Kokichi: No need to be hasty. I know there's a timer, but three hours is quite a long time if you have nothing to do. I mean you guys are only 45 minutes in as of this moment.

Hajime: Wait, really!?

He looked at his watch and it was what Kokichi said.

Kokichi: Your games weren't that long...but I'm sure you know by now that it will get even more time consuming from then on as the games continue to get difficult. Anyway, to start this game. I want you three to step into that cage.

Chiaki: The cage that's in the center?

Kokichi: That's right. Just step inside it and we can proceed.

Hajime: Seems a little suspicious to me.

Kurumi: Everything in this entire game is suspicious, Hinata-senpai.

Chiaki: But if we are going to get out. We need to do as he says, right?

Hajime: Yeah, but I can't trust what he's doing with these games. There's just something about them that feels...wrong.

Kurumi: Well, what do you expect to do in a situation like this? All you can do is just play along and find a way to survive. There really isn't much we can do. We have to play his game, or we'll never leave. Let's at least look at the cage first if it is just a cage.
