Chapter 413: Just a Pawn of a Larger Game

At an undisclosed location

3rd person POV

Right after their visit with Kiijma.

The Crimson Shinigami are currently planning their next move, which is to find a man from the government known as Sakaguchi Ango.

Kiryuu: You know, we should've asked him where this Sakaguchi person is. That would've made things easy for us.

Haru: Where's the fun in that? Like I said before. If I asked Kijima about his location, Sakaguchi would likely be aware that we're looking for him. So, by making him think that we don't have a clue. He won't expect us to arrive by his doorstep. Sakaguchi would've been prepared for us if Kijima told us his location. 

Suzuki: Our master did have an intuition that there could be a recorder or a hidden camera somewhere that we're not aware of that is recording the whole scene in Kijima's office.

Ronin: As always, your majesty. Your instincts are on a different level. 

The trio looked as they saw Ronin on the couch, lying there lazily.

Kiryuu: Wait, why are you back here?!

Ronin: Didn't I tell you guys before we left? I ain't movin shit. I gave you guys my toxic concoctions prior to you guys separating. So, I already technically did my job. 

Kiryuu: You lazy bastard. You can't have one day without laying around all day long.

Suzuki: Leave him be. It's not like he's going to do anything obscene to our cause. 

Kiryuu: Whatever, I'm gonna go sharpen Grave Maker.

He said as he leaves the place with Haru, Suzuki, and Ronin left.

Suzuki: By the way sir.

Haru: What? 

Suzuki: I'm wondering about something. Do you think that the Port Mafia will take the bait?

Haru: Bait? Ohh that. 

Suzuki: It was a devious idea on your part to place Hirotsu in a location where they are likely to clash with a certain generation of the White Room. Did you know about this?

Haru: I do. My plan is to further destroy the mafia little by little. So, why not add more internal strife within their alliance? His kidnapping as well as the "incurable" disease that Kate injected on Akutagawa. They're soon going to make their move in Nara where they will be stepping into Hamasaki family territory. 

Ronin: The only place where they can find the cure. But since my family is aligned with Atsuomi himself due to a certain someone within the White Room. 

Haru: Exactly. Slowly but surely, they're already playing into my hand. 

Ronin: Speaking of playing into your hand. Where did you send Ebiru-san by the way? Isn't she usually hanging out here after a scouting mission?

Haru: She's currently on a different mission. I sent her to look after one of the White Room instructors that she recently found.

Ronin: Ohh, I see. What about it?

Haru: Let's just say a certain girl within our unofficial ranks has told me that this instructor wanted to speak with her mother.

Ronin: Let me guess. You're talking about Yukinoshita, aren't you?

Haru: Who else would it be?

Suzuki: What exactly do they want with them now?

Haru: Who knows? Reiko has yet to report back. When she does though. We'll be able to know what Shiba Katsunori-sensei is up to now.
