After thinking about it for a while, I think the best way to go was to tell Vasco face to face. Even though texting him how I felt would make it easier for me, that doesn't hold true for him. It'll seem harsh on my part and I'm not trying to have the entirety of Burn Knuckles hold a grudge against me. That's a bunch of buff scary dudes glaring at me on the daily.

I can do without that.

As I took out a bag of chips to munch on I glanced over at Daniel who was fidgeting with something in his hands. He slipped something off his fingers then shoved it into the pocket of his coat. There was a discomfort in his face which he did his best to hide. I pretended not to notice the bow ring, holding true to my promise to myself.

Mira and Zoe were offering me all sorts of ideas on how to get through my predicament. Apart from what I had planned, which was to invite him over to my place and talk face to face, the runner up was to leave the country. I'm sure Pori and his mom wouldn't mind me crashing at their place for the rest of my life.

Jay looked absentmindedly out the window from next to me. I popped another chip into my mouth and looked at him. Like really looked at him. He had a long angular face with thin pretty lips, clean porcelain skin, and blonde hair that ran all the way underneath his eyes making it impossible to see what they looked like. Damn it, even his hands looked pretty.

Turning to my obvious stares, he kind of just stared at me. I narrowed my eyes at him and after a while gave him a bag of chips from my bag. You know, I really don't understand the kid but there's something about him that makes me want to give him stuff. He's like that cute neighborhood kid you play pokemon cards with at the park. Endearing to the max.

He took the bag probably feeling that if he didn't I'd only slam it against his chest. I wouldn't slam it per say but I definitely wouldn't let him give it back to me. He nodded in thanks and I gave him a mischievous smirk. I leaned over and covered my mouth with my hand.

"You know, you could always share them with Daniel."

I whispered to him, then gave him a little wink. Jay's entire face went red when I told him that. I pulled away from him hiding the evil laughter threatening to emerge from my chest. hahahaha. Messing with people was so fun.

"Did you finally figure out what to do? You look happy again."

I smiled at Zoe, "Yep and it's going to absolutely backfire."

Sookie looked at me with a strange look as we sat in my room. She wasn't too convinced telling him face to face would be the best option. She was scared of him lashing out on me or something but this was Vasco we were talking about. He should honestly be more scared of me. That guy was practically a walking puppy.

"Are you sure you don't want me to stay here until he gets here?"

I shook my head, "Nah, it's okay. We're meeting up around six anyway."

"Okay but if anything goes wrong, call me."

"Yeah, yeah, I will."

Yeah, if something went wrong I wasn't going to call her. I'd probably feel too mortified to tell her over the phone what she could pry out of me tomorrow during school. Right now, I just need her to get out of here so I can mentally prepare myself for what's about to happen.

As I waited for Vasco in the basement I paced around repeating the plan to myself. Okay, when he gets here you're going to stop him before he says anything. Then, you're going to tell him that even though he's a nice guy, you don't like him that way. But! But, it would be great if you could still be friends because you admire him a lot as a person and you wish he finds someone in the future who can love him the way he wants to be loved.
