Guys, I'm happy. Do you want to know why? We're going on a retreat! You have no idea how excited I am. Before I died, growing up we would have fields trips to museums, the zoo, or...more museums.

This was different. A three nights of hanging with the Baking Department! Even though they got on my nerves I can't deny that I actually like spending time around their crazy. Also, Sook was coming so it would be good to spend some time with her.

We've only hung out at my place to study for the finals. Which I aced by the way. I got second in our class. The whole class practically jumped out of their seats when I received my grades back. I actually felt a bit offended. Did they think I was some idiot or something?

The only problem about this whole retreat thing was that I don't have much to wear. After my parents accident I burned a lot of stuff in retaliation against the universe. All that I have are a couple of T-shirts, pants, and jackets that I don't really like. Uncle bought me most of them when we got here.

They were plain since I stopped caring about my style and focused on getting stronger. Now that I actually had an occasion to dress up a bit for, I didn't know what to wear. What kind of clothing do you wear to a retreat anyway? Obviously I have to bring some sort of outdoor wear right? But jeans were a must as well.

If only I had something that wasn't so plain. That's exactly why Sook and I are at the shopping strip today! Tomorrows that day we meet up at the school so I invited her to go shopping with me! I couldn't contain my energy as I waited for her. Now that I think of it I've never gone shopping with a friend.

"You have very...distinct taste."

I pulled out a black cropped leather jacket. My mom had one just like it. Except her pockets had zippers to shut them tight. Sook will judge me if I don't get some sort of color in my wardrobe so I went over to the sweaters. It was already autumn so the weather was pretty chilly now. I better pack something warm.

Oh...

"Sook, do they have a policy against tattoos at the retreat?"

She slowly turned her head, "Why?"

Its probably fine. Some members of the Burn Knuckles have tattoos including Eli, though his was small enough to hide with this hair. If they do, I'll just make sure to cover up my arms. There's a reason why I've been wearing coverings up until now. I didn't want to get in trouble for them. Back in America, I know for a fact I'd get an earful if I didn't cover them up.

Ooo, these shorts are cute. They were a pair of black jean shorts that rose mid-thigh. They'll go really nice with the leather jacket. I can wear a white shirt underneath and make a really nice outfit. I should probably get some new shoes while I'm here. My old ones are already all worn out since I've been running more.

Out of nowhere Sook peeled off my bomber jacket and screeched as she saw my right arm. I'm done with her. It's not even that bad. I only have half a sleeve done since my parents told me they couldn't afford to get me one any better. It was the spirit of a river dragon curled around my arm surrounded by blooming flowers and small wisps of what were supposed to resemble wind.

Now that I think about it, these shorts might be a bit too small. What if someone see's the one on my thigh? I got this one done a month before I was sent to Korea. It was a large butterfly with droopy wings. Blood poured down the center of its body as a two large nails held it in place. It was pretty big but hopefully they'll cover most of it.

Uncle asked me if he wanted him to drop me off since I'd be dragging my suitcase all the way to school. To be honest, the weight of my suitcase was basically nothing compared to what I would work out with in the basement. If anything the walked help me sooth over most of my jitters.
