(Daniel's POV)
What does it mean that Hostel is a cell within a cell? Think of it as a trickling ladder. At the top you have Hostel as its core then the people that serve it. You have the main group, the advisors, the people who answer to those advisors, those who work under those people, and it keeps going down until you reach those who are working for something they don't even know their a part of. Compare a CEO to a regular sales employee.
As Jace put it, only the top members are the real members and the rest are their workers. These workers are referred to as Runaway Fam, short for Runaway Families. These runaway families are all kids who've run away from their homes and are desperate to survive. Hostel takes advantage of their desperation and vulnerability to have them commit crimes for money.
So how does one take down Hostel if we don't even know who's real?
Easy...we infiltrate them.
Since I ran away from home and was introduced to the life of runaways I thought I would be the most reasonable person for this infiltration. If we don't know who Hostel is, then we have to start from the bottom and work our way up from there. I trust myself to know about these people and how they work based on my previous experience to take care of myself.
Besides...I pictured Zoe's face as she's suffered this whole time. First she suffered with Logan as I ran away like a coward then she suffered for that post they put of all the girls online. Not only that but she's also still hasn't fully recovered from what happened to Ila. I don't want to see my friends cry anymore and I feel the need for revenge more than I do answers.
Though...even though I'm not worried about myself I am worried about Zack and Vin. Zack was always impatient, especially things that came to Mira. Seeing how Mira was also a victim of this incident he burst out of the gym that day with a firm resolution to solve this himself. His excuse was that infiltration would take too long. Maybe he's right but I think path is better for me to take.
Vin, on the other hand, had been acting goofy and bothered this whole time. Though I think something was silently brewing inside of him. Mary and Vin have a strang relationship that I don't understand but one thing is made clear. Both of them clearly look after each other. No matter how many jokes Vin tells...Mary was upset by this and it stirred a demon in him. A demon that was willing to kill if it wasn't controlled.
And Vasco...well...I don't know what I can say about Vasco except he was being himself and not really thinking things through.
Jace pulled me aside, seeing how I was probably the only one willing to listen to him. He told me a couple rules he said were important for me to remember.
Runaway Fam's are always looking for more members.
Runaway Fam's don't accept guys easily.
Runaway Fam's prefer people with money.
Never let them look down on you.
Jace's reasoning was on point as always. When you live on the streets it's dangerous to be alone which is why they're always looking for more members. More people means less people will bother you. It also means it'll be easier to make money.
It's even to the point that these Runaway Fam's publicly look for runaway members through online forums like blogs. All you need to do in order to get their attention is to go to your settings and change your location to the East side of the Han River. This is where Hostel takes charge of all the Runaway Fam's. After you change your profile location you send out a message to one of these blogs and you should get a reply pretty quickly.
Of course, there's the problem that I'm a guy. Naturally people assume that girls are easier to control and they also have more opportunities to make more money. THe other issue is that most leaders of these Runaway Fam's are also guys so they'll naturally feel threatened by the presence of another male. It was all very...animal kingdom like. The men take control of the herd while the women go out to hunt. It was disturbing.
