Sookie dropped the taco from her hand. The soft tortilla's contents spilled all over her plate with a gentle thud as she stared at me wide-eyed and with an open mouth. I gave her a small smile that was meant to be reassuring but in reality was fooling nobody. She looked down at the black leather jacket in my hands. A Burn Knuckles emblem spray painted onto its back.

"YOU DID WHAT?!"

Haha...maybe I should've told her this while we were at school. Maybe she'd be less inclined to kill me. Uncle would be upset if he had to wipe my blood off the floor. Right now we were sitting in my kitchen eating some fajita tacos that I made when we got home. I knew this was going to be big news so food was needed to calm down the atmosphere a bit.

Sookie grabbed me by the collar of the shirt and started shaking me, "What the actual hell is wrong with you! I leave you alone for two seconds and you join a gang!"

...

Yeah, I don't think the tacos are helping.

I gently grabbed her by the wrists so she could stop shaking me so damn hard. My head was bobbing all over the place like a damn bobble head. I'm not lying to you when I say I think I started seeing stars from the force.

"Well, technically, does it really count as a gang? They don't really do anything bad."

"That's not the damn point you idiot! I thought you were going to apologize to him! JUST apologize! Not join his fucking gang! A gang full of guys! A gang led by the guy that you so asshole-ishly dumped!!"

Suddenly, the front door swung open and Viola walked in with loads of shopping bags in her arms. She froze at the picture in front of her. Sookie held me tightly by the collar of the shirt as she leaned over the table. I, on the other hand, just sat there with a shocked expression on my face.

She said she was going to be here until six. I don't need two crazy people in the room at the same time.

A sly smile spread across Viola's lips as she gestured towards us, "Oh, my, put a sock on the door next time. You're giving a girl ideas. They were best friends turned lovers. Oh, how wonderful! Cupcake, tell me everything when you two are done."

Sookie let go then pointed an angry finger at me, "Ms. Viola, she joined a gang at school! A GANG!"

I frowned. Could she not tell this crazy woman that? Sookie was probably expecting her to get mad at me or something but we were talking about Viola here. The damn red haired slid into the chair next to me with an excited expression on her face. Sookie was completely taken aback by her reaction while I rolled my eyes at the incoming questions.

"Oh my gosh, oh my gosh! What happened?! You have to tell me everything?! What's it like? Is it all guys? If so-" she took out a pen along with a notepad. Where the fucking hell did she even get that shit from! "Are they all hot? Have you had any steamy interactions? Has anyone told you that they'd take care of you but then you look at them with a smile saying you're perfectly capable of taking care of yourself? Have you been slammed into a wall? And have you or have you not, been a victim of sexual tension?"

I pushed her away from me, "Get off me you crazy woman! What kind of gang did you think I joined!"

She frowned and fell down into her seat, obviously disappointed, "And here I thought I'd get some first class writing material."

Sookie looked between us with a disturbed look on her face, "What the hell is wrong with this family?"

A whole fuck ton of shit, that's what.

To make matters worse this whole Burn Knuckles thing was much less eventful than I thought it would be. I thought there was a clear reason as to why everyone was always following Vasco around. I soon found out that they only did it for the same reason Sookie and I followed each other. For no damn reason except to be in each other's company.
