Travis turned the knob of their bedroom door to find Taylor curled up in bed, sobbing. "Tay", Travis said urgently, wondering if he'd done something to set her off like this.

Taylor looked in is direction but couldn't get words out because she was so upset. "T..T..Trav", was all she said, burring her face in her pillow out of embarrassment. "Shhh" comforted Travis, sitting beside her in bed and curling her into his chest. "I've got you love", soothed Travis, rubbing circles on her back.

Minutes flew by and Taylor was still crying at full force, letting huffs of hot air out after each sob. "Mommy?", said a small voice at the door. Taylor was not in control of her emotions, so she hid her face in Travis' neck, trying to shield herself. "Mommy just needs alone time, ok? She'll be ok, just go downstairs and keep your siblings entertained, ok Sailor?", instructed Travis, Sailor nodding and going downstairs.

Taylor clutched onto Travis's shirt as if it would leave her, the upper part of his shirt soaked with Taylor's tears. She hiccuped, taking deep breaths as Travis told her to. "Deep breaths for me baby, deep breaths. Good job", said Travis, kissing her hairline, feeling her warm, soft skin against his lips. Taylor let out a deep breath, adjusting her head against his chest.

"Can you talk now?", Travis asked. "It's my mom", said Taylor. "What about your mom, honey?", asked Travis, pulling her closer if possible, having a feeling where this was going. "It came back, Trav. They're going to try to treat it but it might not work", said Taylor, a tear rolling down her cheeks. "Oh sweetheart. I'm so sorry". Travis sat up with Taylor still leaning against him, hugging her close while rocking side to side with her in his arms. "I just feel bad because Sawyer could possibly not know his maternal grandmother. And the kids adore her", said Taylor, feeling Travis lay reassuring kisses on her hairline. Travis felt a tear run down his own cheek. Over the years, he and Andrea had grown rather close. "You're right, Tay. This is sad news", said Travis, not knowing what to say to her except the truth.

Remembering they had kids, they made their way downstairs after getting cleaned up, finding Sailor playing dolls with Lucy while Sawyer lay asleep in his baby swing, a blanket keeping him warm. "Good job Sailor. I'm so impressed", said Taylor, picking Lucy up and putting her in her highchair.

They ate as a family, and after that they watched a short kids show. "Time for bed girlies", said Travis, receiving complaints from two people. "No buts, It's your mom who sets the bedtimes around here", said Travis, smiling at Taylor who sat beside him, breastfeeding Sawyer. "Way to make me the bad guy", protested Taylor. But she couldn't complain because the adorable sight unfolded before her eyes as Travis carried the girls like 'sacks of potatos', which meant he carried each girl, throwing them over his shoulders. They squealed with delight as Travis stomped up the steps.

"You see buddy, this is how you were made. Well, technically not, but how it began if you know what I'm saying", said Taylor to the baby who was latched to her breast, eyes on her. "Probably shouldn't be saying that to you but it doesn't matter because you won't remember it", cooed Taylor, attaching the baby to her other breast.

After they put Sawyer to sleep, Taylor lay vulnerably in Travis's arms as they discussed how they'd break the sad news to the kids.
