Bright lights shone vibrantly in the bar, making it hard to focus on one individual.
But for Travis, he couldn't take his eyes off an absolutely gorgeous woman sitting at a barstool. She had blonde, semi-curly hair and looked to be 20 or 21, around Travis's age.
Ever since this mystery woman has sang so beautifully on the stage with her small, thee-person band, Travis couldn't help but marvel at her gracefulness, her beauty.
He'd seen his fair share of beautiful women in his lifetime, his father being a very wealthy but unfaithful business man. Ever since he'd seen how poorly his father had treated his mother he vowed to himself to be a better person than his father.
Just when Travis had gathered enough nerve to approach this gorgeous damsel and offer to buy her a drink, a man, in his mid 40's, roughly handed her some cash, looking very violent. The young woman looked reluctant to accept but a man, presumably Taylor's employer, walked out, giving Taylor a look.
She forced a smile, accepting the money and put it in the cash register.
The young woman led the man to a hallway, filled with several small rooms consisting of one piece of furniture in each; a bed.
But before she had completely turned the corner, Travis couldn't help but notice her look over her shoulder, as if she wanted help. Travis's heart almost stopped when her bright blue eyes looked directly into his.
His mouth hung open in shock. Was she ok? Did she need his help?
Travis began walking in the the direction she went but was stopped by his friend, Patrick, who was the quarterback of their college team. "What the heck dude?", spat Travis.
"I know you have a good heart man, but you can't stop her. It's her job", said Patrick, trying to talk some sense into his friend.
And suddenly it dawned on Travis; she was a prostitute. But strangely enough, it didn't make Travis stop admiring this woman at all. In fact, it brought mystery to her which was extremely attractive.
"So they're all prostitutes?", asked Travis, sitting at a table beside his friend.
"No, I think there's only like three", answered Patrick, sipping a beer. "How do you know that?", quizzed Travis.
"Brittney knows a few of them. She says all of them have a bad past", answered Patrick, referring to his longtime girlfriend.
"Does Britney know the one that just left with a man twice her age?", asked Travis. He was worried for her even though he didn't even know her.
"I think Brittney said her name was Taylor? Don't quote me on that one though", said Patrick.
The duo decided to play a game of darts, distracting Travis.
"You don't even know her man. Are you sure we have to wait till she comes out?", asked Patrick, throwing his dart at the wall accidentally.
"Yes. It's just something about her. I can't really explain it, I just have to. Plus I'm your ride what are you complaining about?"
"Fine", groaned Patrick, taking a shot.
"How much does it cost to hire a prostitute?", asked Travis all of the sudden.
Patrick gave him a wide eyed look. "Your serious man? I knew you were horny but dang, that's low", said Patrick.
"No, I just want to talk to her. I won't even touch her. I just have a feeling that she's special and different", insisted Travis.
"Fine", he mumbled. "I think it's like $75 for like 45 minutes, but I don't hire prostitutes like you", Patrick said, giving Travis a wad of cash in his pocket.
"Thanks man", said Travis, tucking the money in his pocket.
Eventually, the woman exited. Her hair was ruffled and she has red around her eyes.
